The MS Epsilon is a ROPAX ferry that is operated by Irish Ferries with a yard number of 228. It has 2860 lane meters, and is capable of 24kts (44kph). The vessel is powered by two MAN B&W 9L48/60 diesel engines, that use two controllable pitch propellers.
The Ship has a gross tonnage of 26,375, a length of 186.5 metres (611.9ft), with a beam of 25.6 metres (84ft) and a draught of 6.85 metres (22.5ft).
The vessel is reported to have sustained damage to her cargo after sailing into the storm, 'Storm Imogen' in 2016, where she met reported speeds of up to 200kph on route from Cherbourg to Dublin.
