Hmm. This building actually looks to have a lot of halls and back rooms. Just thanks for uploading. It looks really neat to test those things in person. My dad works for ComEd, but the Lincoln Centre buildings he maintains take a lot of preparation before a bell test and the fire dept. has to be scene as well.
@tor9411 жыл бұрын
thanks! and yes the building is empty. my dad wont let me do this if its a working day. and yea this is a fairly small building so it didn't take me too long to test it.
@msj19196111 жыл бұрын
Nice test. Nice system too! Was the building empty? My dad said it's easier to pull off a bell test in a smaller building.

Nice system testing. If you take requests could you do one sometime with the panel on battery power? Thanks

yeah, it does. actually this is only one section of the entire building. my father owns the whole building. each office space has its own fire alarm system. and yeah, i have fun testing this system whenever i can!

I love the fire alarm you made in ROBLOX!!
@RJARRRPCGP7 жыл бұрын
I'm bummed that Roblox won't let me add sounds and dunno how to make a pull station linked to it in Roblox. That's why I'm not there right now... I almost made one in Roblox! I got addicted to Roblox early last year, IIRC...

Was the fire department contacted that you were doing this test? I'm asking because I saw there were no troubles in the system.
@tor949 жыл бұрын
this was at my dads office. and we contacted the alarm company before testing.
@MrDyson019 жыл бұрын
tornadofreak1994 is the system hooked up to a dialer for the fire department?
@tor949 жыл бұрын
yes, it is. The dialer is a wireless dialer that is located close to the ceiling (6 to 7 feet above the panel

@NormanWeather6 жыл бұрын
Did you disable the dialer? And does your dad own that building?
@tor946 жыл бұрын
Called the alarm company and took the system out of service, and he does own it.

4:17.. was that a magnet you used? how can that set off the alarms?
@sirensofsoutheastmichigan4 жыл бұрын
Certain smokes allows a magnet to dissrupt the current, causing an alarm and setting off the system

Why do they have to be so loud?
@filmer7509 жыл бұрын
Do you think these fire alarms are louder than 120 decibels?
@filmer7509 жыл бұрын
tornadofreak1994 Wow I'm really surprised!! =-O Did someone set it to 88dB or were they installed that way?
@tor949 жыл бұрын
that is how they are manufactured.

I believe the electromechanical ones have a tendency to be higher than the listed db... In fact, the db listed is often the mininum db...

@everyonesloopy11 жыл бұрын
why is there an alarm outside? i've always had this question
@bextaylorklaus7677 жыл бұрын
so people don't go inside the building and also if the alarm stops it lets people know they can go back inside
@pvh_facp4001yt5 жыл бұрын
Bex Taylor Klaus that is and that's not the only reason. Another reason is if the fire dept is looking for the building, they will find it via the alarm.
@22megaton299 жыл бұрын
