In today's video, I showcase the LatinVFR A321 NEO once more, but this time there is something different! ‪@HorizonSimulations‬ have overhauled LatinVFR's entire line-up, incorporating the wonderful work of FlyByWire and their own team into these jets which were crying out for greater depth! Nah the PMDG EFB is so like “I dunno what am doing” experience for me, having used real EFBs and then the Fenix A320, I just feel a lot more flexible using the Fenix one(I do fill out my Fenix take off or landing parameters manually and don’t use the auto fill options)

Awesome video! I got this plane about a year ago, and tried out the FBW mod. Definitely a much better experience, although I am currently gravitating towards the toliss a321 in XP12. It has a much better flight model. Love to see some progress in MSFS as far as airliners go though!

Your video made me drop for the A321neo in the marketplace. Granted the discount for me was minor (only $5, not 50%) but I think I’ll take that over full price in this case. Looking forward to giving it a spin soon.

I purchased it when it was first introduced. Couldn’t even properly load it at an airport without the sim crashing, but now… Its phenomenal. They constantly keep updating the aircraft and it’s really fun to fly. For us xbox users, it’s xbox version of Phoenix/flybywire simulations. Absolutely LOVE ALL LVFR Airbus aircraft. Definitely worth the buy.

For some odd reason, I get the Simbrief data but no METAR informations in the Horizon A321 mod. In the FBW A320nx I get them right away. Does someone else is having the same issue? What did I miss, as you seem to get them on your EFB!?

Have you or anyone had problems with the aircraft dramatically pitching up after inputting a lower altitude from TOD? My throttle is in the Climb Position, other than that I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Seriously considering getting this. What is best to use for calculating take off performance, trim, flex ect... I currently use the Fenix & can do this using the EFB however, correct me if Im wrong, you can't do this currently on the Horizon EFB?

But there is an external model glitch, if you go to the external view (not showcase) you can see a part of the interior is visible in the front of the aircraft near the cockpit

The model has been garbage since release. I sent them pics on FB of the errors and they never responded. There's was something like 20 model issues (black triangles, etc..) around the aircraft.

Thank goodness I found someone else mention that. I see the cockpit section is lower than the rest of the fuselage so I see two bumps because of it. I was losing my mind trying to find someone else also having this issue.

i really appreciate the horizon sim mods. but i am not buying a plane, to use it to fullest with a mod to enjoy it. i can ignore this but then there so less liveries in flightsim to. and fenix does sucha good job, that i dont want to fly anything else. another fav is pmdg 737.

I think the sounds in normal LVFR planes were very nice and kind of annoying the mod reverts them to default FBW ones

Not just that. I also like the LVFR cabins. I know this mod improves flight dynamics, but the FBW A320 neo already existed, and what set LVFR apart for me were the engine sounds and cabin. I added the Horizon mods to my LVFR variants, but I’m on the fence about keeping them modded. I also have Fenix A320, so it’s overkill with these mods without something more; those were the cabin with passengers and the engine sounds

Can you not just save the sound files from the LVFR in a different folder and take out the sounds from the FBW when you install it? Then put back the LVFR sounds, I know that’s what I did in FSX back in the day, I literally put PMDG 777 sounds into freeware mods 🤣

The fact that the horizon sim mod takes away the cabin is actually kind of a deal breaker for me. I’m glad I never purchased any of the LVFR planes. Yeah the FBW A32NX and some others don’t have cabins but they NEVER had cabins. LVFR has one but you can’t use it with horizon mod. 😢 Hopefully the A32NX gets one eventually.

I'm so confused about this product. LatinVFR are payware birds, right? FBW is a freeware group, and the title of the vid says MSFS A321....so someone is using FBW which is a group making free products, to enhance payware birds? What is free, and what is not?

Yep you’ve got it, Horizon simulations have enhanced (for free) a payware product, using FlyByWire and there own efforts. Not too confusing but I can see why it could be!

I had this issue too, but it is easy to resolve. Simply open the zip file in Winrar versus the default zip file, and extract that into the community file.

Eesh. I'm not too sure about a mod that uses another mod to put on top of a payware plane that is itself a bit of a half mod. Sounds like a recipe for bugs and comparability issues galore. Hopefully FBW will do an A321 Neo at some point. In the meantime, i'll wait for the Fenix A321 CEO

I wanted this to really be good but the LVFR A321 NEO even with updated Horizon really sucks. Its barely better than Asobo. The EFB icons are too big and you can't get to the settings icon. Don't bother. Update 11/13/23: I have to take back my comment above. It turns out that the Horizon mod wasn't working correctly and I was just using the base LVFR plane. The Horizon mod makes all the LVFR planes worth owning. It's a must, but apparently LVFR isn't happy about it and are not cooperating with Horizon in the future. A bad business decision in my opinion.
