Great video - as always. In making a decision, one also needs to consider what other tools they have in their SIM toolbox. I use LNM extensively and have a subscription to Navigraph - both of which provide functionality to track the movement of my aircraft on the ground and in the air (on top of their other features and functionality). Relative to hardware, I use an LG 4k TV as my main monitor (my eyes aren't as good as they used to be so, I need the larger view area), I have a 2nd monitor and I have a laptop - the latter 2 devices mounted on stands connected to my desk so I can move them around for ease of viewing and access. Typically, prior to and during a flight, I have LNM running on my 2nd monitor and Navigraph running on my laptop so there is no lack of map and chart information. All that being said, I find that Sky4sim (which I purchased a number of months ago) provides me easy access to whatever other information I might find of use. I also don't like cluttering up my main monitor with extra windows and Sky4sim provides the ability / option to open in a browser window (vs the Toolbar icon) and I place that browser window on my second monitor. I also really like Sky4sim when doing a casual flight. The ability to easily see VORs and ICAOs and get their related information simply by hovering over the icon is great. As usual, everyone's mileage my vary 🙂

Your work is highly appreciated :) After messing about a year now with msfs I want to get into doing things as they supposed to and was looking for some help in this. As I’m flying vr only…this video helped me to pick the product I want :) Was wondering 1 thing though. To get your installation filled with all kinds of airport charts etc etc that is going to be a lot of work. I also noticed once you got all kind of data set for an airport the app will re-use that information when planning a next flight having this airport in. So I’m guessing they can be exported/copied as well to be used for other users of the app. I’ve been looking around on boards/threads etc but could not find anything yet. Do you know perhaps a place to get stuff to pre-fill the app?

Even in 2023 I don't see how Sky4Sim would be any better than SimEfb. I mean having a SkyVector moving map in VR already seals it for me.

You can use the keyboard in the web browser version from the main server app you have open.

I ended up going for Sim EFB, I was initially put off but the price difference, but as you highlighted it’s very intuitive for pulling charts and information. Also, I’m not sure if you mentioned but I believe it builds a database of inputted information for airports.

What do you use for screen recording and MSFS recording.

In sim-efb, do you see a moving map even if you don't download your own? Meaning, is there a default sectional map displayed while flying?

if SWS Software never had the idea to support Sky4Sim with their new PC-12 i would never had steppt upon that tool. what i think of it, i want to reach SWS and tell them that they should remove any support with sky4sim. It just makes their produkt worse. has Sky4Sim ever asked them selves why pilots in reallife have tablets in their cocpit? i have the feeling no. The only good thing about The PC-12 is. you must not install Sky4Sim and can completly ignore that there is an useless tablet. what i see, if you like vfr flights, painting your route with simple mouse clicks on bing map and import it to the sim. and if you like neofly, it might be something for you. but if you like to plan real low or high ifr routes use simbrief calculations for fuel and navigraph maps to know everything about your destinations. Sky4Sim isn't for you. because than it has nothing usefull.

Can you move the efb's (1,2,or 3) to a second monitor.

With Sky4Sim I don't get any Comms frequencies on the Coms tab under Airports (It's just blank), anybody else getting this or have a fix?

I can not import navdata in sky4sim pad even after I put the bing api key , I have tried in game and in Web browser and nothing, its not loading ! I am desperate, I don't know what to do , I have bought this app so I can create beautiful scenic flights in VFR VR because the MFS default map planning SUCKS ! 🥵🤬😢 Heeeeelppppp !
