That’s what I thought until, always a size 8 but after menopause before 50 I went to a 8.5 W so I’m starting my shoe collection all over. My sister, niece and a friend got most of my shoes I was heartbroken for me but happy for them.

I find the ankle skimming pants with shoes such a tricky trend. How to find pants that hit at the right spot (especially at 5’10”) without looking like my pants are floods gives me all the anxious feels.

You are so right about those loafers with the tire tread lug soles! I think they look awful on anyone who is not a lumber jack. 😂

Man, I wish I had somewhere to go to wear all those cute shoes and clothes. I spend most of my time at the grocery store or at the old folks home visiting my parents. Also, I'm retired so I don't even have a job to go to. Years ago I loved fashion, now it's all about the comfort. I'm 60.

I know ankle pants are in and I’m trying to wear them but grew up when they were called high waters. It was jeans that were to short for us tall girls. Never had pants long enough until Rockies came in style. Lol of course we didn’t wear ripped jeans either. Times change for sure. Thanks for all the tips.

Love my uggs and yes i do wear them out, i did try the walmart ones, but they made my feet sweat because they are not sheepskin inside so ill stick with uggs

While I prefer to wear fully enclosed flats with no show socks, it’s just not practical for me once the temps drop in New England. There are definitely stylish ways to wear socks of the unruffled variety, but it can admittedly be a little trickier.

I’m the equestrian….just wanted to comment on what you said (I did live in TX for 16 years). I ride English and we wear tall boots and short boots with chaps. Western people wear both short and tall boots, mostly Ariat. English tall boots are in a whole other category. Many of my barn mates/fellow equestrians get those custom made. I won’t share any prices as those are in the eye watering category.

I LOVE the Amazon faux suede boot - $64!!! I bought it in two colors and love both! Light khaki which wears like nude on my skin tone and beige which is like a neutral stone/soft white color. Comfortable, great height. There is extra room in the calf area which I usually don’t like, but it works even when I’m wearing above the knee skirts and dresses. Can’t say enough good things. I highly recommend. Note: I am 5’4” and the boot hits the bottom of my knee. I really like the height of this boot but it’s worth noting.

I’ve always loved my heels, even at 5’10”, but I broke my foot several years ago & sadly can’t wear heels anymore😢. It’s been a hard adjustment to make but I still longingly love seeing all the beautiful heels. Thanks again for all your great shoe selections & styling tips to wearing them all to look our best. As for house shoes, how many times have you walked out the door only to realize omg I can’t go out in these & go back for real shoes🤣. Please tell me I’m not the only one, lol.

I love a chunky loafer + baggy pants + crop top look the way that Kerina Wang, Shea Whitney or Delaney Childs style them. Admittedly though, it's a much more youthful/street style look.

I feel the same way about the clunky loafers but I also lump those clogs into the same unflattering category. I have those Sam Edelman heels in a nude leather - love them, they are comfortable and I plan on keeping them Forever - totally agree that is one thing I have found with the Sam shoes - consistent sizing. We don’t have any good shoe stores in this area of the country so that is really nice.

Great video, thanks! The Sam Edelman Hazel pumps are gorgeous but too high for me. The exact same shoe has a lower heel version called the Vienna, perfect and comfortable.

I needed this tutorial, Marnie. I'm always kicking off shoes and boots and pants and jeans because I couldn't get it right. Gave up wearing trainers or tennis shoes with things because I always looked frumpy and I need a bit of a heel or platform type. How about how to wear mule booties? I ended up buying several pair on sale and realized I had the same pair in a light color already. So now I have 4 pair of the same Dolce Vita mule booties. Now I can get it right! And thanks for helping to take the horrible events in beloved Israel off my mind for a few minutes. Think I'll watch it again! :)

The bootie with low cut out some other influencer said was out of style. I was always limited on shoes becauseI had a bunion so my 5 1/2 sized right foot had to be in a 6 wide and I still was limited. 8 months after Lapiplasty metatarsal correction surgery- I can wear many styles now! I love the lug loafers - I’m petite at 5 1 1/2 and they give me some height and I feel preppy snd edgy at the same time. I hate the over the knee thigh highs- hooker boots and not a fan of the western style boots unless they are interesting like a red burgundy suede ankle bootie. I found a great pair in my size but they ran really small so I was bummed! And love my Vear paws bootie ‘slippers’ so compfy and warm when it’s 50 outside at a craft fair!

I love Chelsea boots and find them do easy to wear with straight jeans or dresses .. such a cool look… nordstrom has tons of good ones… brands like dolce vita and Sam Edelman have great ones as do Nordstrom house brand 🩷

You talk about wide shoes, however I wear a very narrow (super slim - 4a heel). Choices are very limited and I need some new shoes. No one in our city has shoes that fit me. Finding shoes online is difficult.

I get so stressed when I think about all these shoe rules and pants 😂, especially as a super short Gal, as I cannot get the perfect length ever, 😂.
