Hey y’all and welcome to my channel! Today I am sharing my laundry routine with you guys! I take you along with me as I show you how I like to do my laundry and what products I like to use! In Australia we don’t generally use a dryer. We hang them on the line as well. Now I live in USA and it’s mainly dryer use. I prefer hanging on the line, smells fresher and better for the clothes. I love your videos! Please post some more!

You have made me want a clothes line! I put a trash can in my laundry room, for the dryer lint, empty bottles, when I clean out pockets, etc. It's been so convenient.

I hang dry my cleaning rags too. Another idea on the smelly towels, it could very well be the fabric softener. One it makes towels less absorbent and two it leaves a film that traps smells. I use gain regular scent and wash my towels in hot water in the deep water cycle with an extra rinse added and don't have any yucky smells. 1x a month I wash them in vinegar first. Also, your washer could be adding to the musty smell. I use afresh tab 1x a month and clean my top load HE washer and that helps a ton

Yes! My big dog can get smelly so quick and sometimes his blankets just wreak of dog odor and this laundry additive helps so much to get rid of it!! You should try it! Thanks for watching! :)

I can't wait for warmer weather so I can start hanging my things outside again! Sometimes I think to myself, where in the world do all of these clothes come from lol! I work all week and sometimes on the weekend, so when I get home after work I'm not always in the mood to do it. So, that's why it piles up on me! Not to mention, we have had a lot of snow lately, and we have been piling on the clothes to stay warm, so there is extra to wash haha! ;)

I always struggled with smelly towels too but then I started hanging them from hooks in the laundry room to let them dry before putting them in the hamper. It has made a world of difference...it's worth a try!!

I'm from Portugal and it's very interesting learning how different other countries do simple things like laundry. We never use a dryer, we always hang our laundry outside or inside the home if it's raining. I will try and find that enhancer here. I find your videos very relaxing :)

Your weekly laundry pile is my daily pile. We have the smelly laundry problem too. Our water is really gross so if you don’t take it out of the washer immediately it stinks. And i almost never can switch it over right away. I’m definitely trying that stuff so thanks for the code!!

Using fabric softener with your towels will make them smell from the build up.

I love the smell of fresh clean laundry lol. I’m picturing how good your house smelled while watching this lol. I’m currently washing our kids bedding at the moment. Lol I love when they climb into bed after a long day at school or long day of playing to fresh sheets & blankets. My favorite combination of detergent/softener is the Persil detergent in their Original scent & Downy’s Softener in Botanical Mist. Those two combined smell so fresh & clean. I like to try different combinations after awhile just to try something new so I’ll try your combination soon! Loved the video 😊👍

Me too! I love soapy, clean smells! And, I LOOOVE clean sheets! It's my favorite!!! I have actually never used Persil before and have been wanting to try it! I never separate my dark's and lights lol, seems just fine to me. I use all the scenty stuff, the purple gain flings with aroma boost, the in wash scent boosters, and the dryer sheets in the purple box that are very strong in a sweet smell... my laundry smells so good

Most Australians have a huge outdoor clothes like called a hills hoist. we hang dry almost 100% unless it's raining then a portable line under cover is the next option before resorting to the dryer. Costs a heap in electricity to run a dryer here. Clothes last longer dried naturally too.

Absolutely love my clothesline, and I hang nearly everything out (except for towels and sheets) when weather permits. Not sure of your age, but it seems like no one my age (I’m 29) has a clothesline anymore. I think we are the only people in our neighborhood with one. It was our first project when we bought our house a few years ago. It’s probably a southern thing too (I live in eastern NC). I don’t use fabric softener on my towels and they smell great, but are smelly after a few uses. Love your channel!

I love to do laundry. I hope my uncle Air bought more laundry detergent. I have more than enough dryer sheets. But if I run out, Air will have to buy more. He's the go getter guy in the family. One of these days, I would love to do other people's laundry for 5 dollars. I think that laundry is a very relaxing activity.

Hi - very motivational. Love your laundry room. Here in the UK we tend to always try and hang our washing out - weather permitting. Not everyone has a dryer, though luckily we do. But we have to check clothing as sometimes they'll shrink in the dryer. I wish our washing machines were as big as yours - that drum was huge!! I try to do some each day so I don't have a pile of clothes piling up waiting to be ironed - groan - that's the worse bit. 😕

Thank you so much!! Hi from the U.S.! I try to do a couple loads during the week as well so it doesn't pile up! That week it just so happened to be that way where it piled up on me! Plus it was freezing cold outside and snowing, so we really had to layer up to keep warm which meant more laundry, bummer! .... When we purchased our washer and dryer I made sure to get the extra large capacity washer!! It is nice for sure! :)

I use clothes line for everything. And if it's a sunny day it's towels day. they get this sunny clean smell that makes you want to get a shower and use it

Here in australia we hang everything on the clothes line unless you live in a apartment although most allow room for a indoor line on the balcony. Saves a heap in electricity by doing this.

I noticed when I used fabric softener and dryer sheets with my towels is what made it have that nasty mildew smell. I've converted to natural laundry detergent in the last few years due to health issues. I don't use fabric softener at all and I haven't had it since. It could also be maybe you need to wash your washing machine.

Gain is my favorite detergent! I cannot wait to do mine once a week because we have a family of 5 and my husband has his regular work clothes, fire clothes, and EMT clothes + his everyday wear so that’s enough to make me pull my hair out lol! I’m curious where you got your couch and how you like the fabric with your dogs.

Oh I hear ya girl! Our couch came from Ashley Furniture Home Store and it has held up pretty well so far! I like that leather is easier to clean but because I allow my dogs on the furniture I didn't want holes from their nails all over and scratches. Dogs aside though, I'm not a fan of leather couches. I feel fabric is more comfy, but that's just me! I love that my cushion covers are removable so I can wash them! That is a must with dogs! Just wish the back cushions had covers! TFW!

You shouldn't use fabric softener on your microfibre cloths...it can undo the "grabability" of the fibres.

I grew up with a washing machine and dryer in a closet and when I moved, I had an actual room to do laundry in and I was just like WOW this is really nice! I could get used to this! Haha! Thanks for subscribing and watching!! :)

Yea at our apartment we have a laundry room but I'm weird about it so I just go back to my mother in laws once a week. I have definitely learned how much I took having a laundry room for granted hahaha.

Microfiber cleaning cloth‘s should never be washed with other towels. Lent from the other towels gets trapped in all the little fibers.. Fabric softener ruins their effectiveness. Hope this helps. I LOVE Microfiber Cleaning cloths! xo Melissa

Why are the towels smelly? Is it because they’re going into the dirty clothes hamper damp or does it have something to do with the washer? If it’s the former, try allowing used towels to dry while hung up and go to the hamper in the morning.

This may sound stupid but "Why you don't sun dry your laundry?" I live in Greece and we use dryer only in rainy or foogy days.

It's a convenience thing, usually. It takes less time to throw it in the dryer than to hang it up, take it down, etc. Another reason is space, some people here have limited outdoor space or in rentals as I'm currently in we have limitations on what we can do/leave outside so hanging things outside isnt an option.

Do you get lint sticking on your clothes?,if so what detergent do you use to avoid them. This happens on my clothes on rinse cycle

No I don't! I've never had a problem with that! But I do know that using dryer sheets help with lint! Maybe you should try that! I use 1-2 bounce dryer sheets with every load that I dry! ... Thanks for watching! :)

Where do you purchase portable clothes lines?

If you are you talking about a drying rack, you can get those anywhere, such as Target, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, TJMaxx, etc...... If you are talking about an outside portable clothesline, maybe Lowe's? I've never seen a clothesline you can move around. My husband made mine out of 4x4's and they are cemented into the ground, so they aren't moving lol! TFW!

So glad you stayed to watch!! Hope you enjoyed it!! The thin fleece ones usually dry over night or even quicker. The thicker ones will dry overnight too, but there are always some spots that are damp, so I just hang it differently, so those spots will get air too! I've never thought about the time it takes to dry them inside! When I hang them outside on my clothesline though depending on the wind, they will dry anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour! :)

I try and wash all my things in one day back to back! As soon as I hear that buzzer go off, I am in there putting another load in! I don't always get it all done in one day though, sometimes its takes 2, because I never know what plans I have on the weekends! :)
