I never really thought of Victorious as a kids show. I figured it was supposed to be for middle & high schoolers instead because of all of the dirty jokes. It felt like a slightly more grown-up show geared towards the older crowd that grew up on iCarly. As I'm the same age as the cast, it just felt like less raunchy tv geared towards my age group rather than children.

Every time I see a dirty Victorious jokes video, nobody mentions the scene where Cat says that she would “do anything“ to use her phone. The Breakfast Club was made in the 80s so teenagers watching Victorious wouldn’t even have been born when the Breakfast Club came out so I doubt that a high proportion of them have even see the Breakfast Club.
