Oh shit the Action Park alpine slides! It was nicknamed Traction Park because no one escaped injury. They even had a tiki bar that at 16 years old I got served at multiple times. In their defense I was 6 ft 200 lbs in 8th grade and could pass for 21 as long as I kept my mouth shut. Lol. They had cliff diving and had these Indy style gokarts. My uncle tipped us off to bring mini vise grips to lower the bolt under the gas pedals that kept them slight under dangerous speeds. They finally hit a point where no Insurance Company would underwrite or bond them and the State alone wanted millions in Bonds just to open the gates lol. Last trip in the early 90's out of the 5 guys that rode together in the same vehicle we had 1 sprained ankle , 3 broken fingers a 3 inch gash from stepping on a peice of glass between water rides, worst was my boy with broken collar, concussion and road rash from coming into a turn too hot on the alpine slide. We finally were banned from Park on our last day an hour after getting there for tipping over an opposing teams army from ramming them after my gunner ran out of tennis balls. My boys for payback came up with a plan to both stop like nothing was working so they could light up the attendant when he walked out to help and apparantly it was epic. I was in the security office at the time giving them bogus info and heard the aftermath on the radio. It was a crazy teenage boys dream. Better than any day on Spring Break in Cancun even! The older security guard who was a retired trooper was pissing his pants walking us to our car and said you boys are like the theme park version of Libyan Terrorists to these dumbies please dont come back for the rest of the season or they will arrest you for trespassing. Try again next season when its different people maybe. The fact that 3 of us were obviously served their underage and served while obviously already intoxicated was the only reason they didnt have us locked up in hindsight.
