Just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for these collections and the labor of love it took to put them all together! I love the living' hell out of MST3K and anthologizing all these segments was a brilliant idea, it gives me a whole new way to appreciate Joel and his fellow geniuses.

my favorite segment for this season was Mike promising he was going to find a way to get them all off the ship. And he keeps that promise at the end ^^

yes i'm working seasons 8-10 now. i was almost done with season 8 a whole 3 months ago but my computer crashed and burned (literally it was smoking!) and i've only now got everything set up again. it took me forever to re-upload all the episodes from my DVDs back to my computer. except it soon!

these are great!! truly hilarious! i put these on at night. i like the Joel/Dr. Forrester segments but the Mike/Pearl segments are so much tighter and cohesive. "Guards! Seize them! "

The show survived and transitioned well after Joel left, IMHO. I don't think it went on as well or was ever the same when Frank and later Forrester left the ensemble of characters. They were the "Classic Mads" and the best team of those characters, period. I DON'T resent the characters that replaced them I just don't think they had the magic chemistry Frank and Forrester had, though. That opinion gets reinforced more and more within me as I rewatch full episodes or just review the host segments... And, btw, before I forget, thanks for editing out and splicing the hosting segments together! I have a clue of what it's like to edit things like this and I know it's a thankless, mind-numbing task. Unless you've done editing, people have no idea how involved it can get. You can drive yourself nuts even with a simple "splice and cut" job. Even when you know what you're doing, just the routine gets mind-numbing and well --! Thanks for taking one for the team, anyway!

Wow. Having all of the host segments lumped together makes an even stronger case for how truly awful Mike Nelson is when he’s in front of the camera, especially since he’s been “HEAD WRITER” since the beginning season 2 (I think). He may have had the title when Joel was there, but, since the quality really tanked after Joel left and Mike assumed control, it’s obvious that _Joel’s_ contributions were far funnier. Mike’s generally fine riffing on the films, but I can’t stand him as host and find myself fast forwarding when he’s on the screen.

Never cared for the dour Joel. A failed prop comic. Best was the years of the brain guys, Pearl and Bobo, son of Koko, heir to the lineage of Dodo, Bogo and Chim Chim.... and of course, Mike.
