I've had one of the red accent ion plate versions for a few months now and I just keep going back to it over and over. I really wanted the stainless version but Casio UK were running a minus 35% offer which was hard to overlook. Most will throw their hands up in horror at the price but it's only when you get one in hand you begin to appreciate the quality of materials and fit and finish of the watch. The high tech movement is a development from the Oceanus line brought up to triple G standard with a couple of extras tagged on. The fact they are hand assembled at Yamagata also adds to the exclusivity. It's the complete antithesis of what a gshock should be as you won't want to beat it up and is more a showcase of what Casio can do.

I'm allergic to the resin straps on Casio watches, that's why i'm looking at their steel offerings. Always been a fan of g-shocks. It's funny that you mentioned the Grand Seiko brand, as they are my favourite watches (can't afford one though). I think this MT-G is a great offering by Casio, imported from Japan they're around 600 Euros now. Also their quartz movements are very very accurate (as are the Grand Seiko 9F quartz movements). I do hope i don't react to the resin inlays inside the MTG's steel band.

Just brought myself the black one with rubber strap. Very cool looking watch, but debating whether if i should by the metal bracelet…. Ebay sells them around 300 candian. Not cheap. The strap is either a bit too tight or too loose. But I don’t know if 300 + tax and shipping and possibly custom fees is a smart idea i

Great video mate ! I got mine two days ago. I have a question I left the watch in the balcony under direct light to charge the battery, it stayed there all day for 2 days but the battery is still not showing full. How long does it take to fully charge the battery ?

I never had might get down that far TBH. I use and LED charger on my solars from time to time to top them off.

Excellent question. Before owning - no. After owning, holding, and using, possible if not certain. The quality, finishing, and ease of wear is fantastic and that sold me.

What is your opinion about the steel material on MTG? I saw alot of people who disapointed with their GMW B5000 series, verry easy to scratch even if compare with another steel watch (eg. Seiko or citizen). I wonder if MTG has the same steel material with GMW.

I haven't seen any scratches yet. I do not know if the steel itself is better quality, but i understand the metalwork and polishing is done at the Grand Seiko factory. That won't imbue any hardness, but it certainly makes it shine.

@@chronoevolution1871 I'm reviewing the article and I don't see any mention of the mtg. I see mrg. How did you come to the conclusion of mtg being finished in the mentioned factory? Thanks for the feedback

@@kyledeatherage8426 MT-G and MR-G are both made in the Yamagata factory.
