Mt Lindesay Ridge Trail | Day Walks of the Great Southern (Denmark, Western Australia)

Жыл бұрынA grand tour of Mount Lindesay National Park, the one way Mount Lindesay Ridge Trail links up the popular rock climbing area of Little Mount Lindesay with the main peak of Mount LIndesay. Initially following the rock climber's walk to the spectacular granite-dominated summit of Little Mount Lindesay, the Ridge Trail follows an old vehicle track deep into the Jarrah and heath dominated wilderness towards Mount Lindesay's dramatic 360 degree views. Descending via the tourist walk trail, the walk finishes crossing the Denmark River. A feast of wildflowers and granite scenery.

So many wildflowers, must have taken you all day to stop and look at every single species

I stopped A LOT, the wildflower display was genuinely impressive out there. Lots to like on the walk given the big picture of the epic granite formation right down to the details of the wildflowers made it quite special (even with burnt stunted Jarrah being the dominant forest type)

It's a good one. It is a sanctioned trail (as in Parks and Wildlife recognise it exists and call it the Ridge Walk) but it is definitely one they don't really advertise apart from the Mount Lindesay bit which is more well known. But the ridge is definitely worth it for the wildflowers and to see Little Mount Lindesay which is in some ways more dramatic and impressive than the true summit!

Fam I live in Denmark and I still haven't done the full mount Lindsay walk 😮👏👏👏, great sharing, 2:25 sadly sometimes these things run out of phytophera dieback nullifier squirtle juice stuff

Yeah I know, it is a real shame when they don't top it up. The one on Mt Hallowell is always not topped up!

I haven't really done any "unmarked" trails, so this one might have to be the first. (I'm pretty kosher with nav - so it's only my fault if i mess it up!)

It is probably a good one in terms of unmarked trails given the trail is pretty clear all the way. I don't feel navigation is that much of a risk on this one, it is probably more that its a pretty remote area that very few people walk through that is the main reason it is a recognised trail by Parks and Wildlife but not one the publicise
