MTA New York City Bus : On-Board 2022 Nova Bus LFS 8831 On The Q17 Limited

Seen here is a ride on-board Nova Bus LFS 8831 operating on the Q17 Limited to Jamaica. This was taken between Fresh Meadows and Hillside Avenue.
Jamaica Depot has about 9-10 of these buses from what I've been told(I haven't been keeping up on these deliveries). Jamaica is due for 60 of these buses. whereas Queens Village will receive 57, and Casey Stengel will receive 92 of these buses.

This bus number was formerly on one of MTA's 1996 Novabus RTS'.

As of 5.6.22, Jamaica has nine 2022 Nova LFS' in service: 8830-8832, 8836, 8843, 8854, 8859, 8866, 8871. Queens Village has 20: 8826, 8829, 8833-8835, 8837-8842, 8844, 8846, 8848-8850, 8856, 8860, 8862-8863.

They ride stiff, stiffer than the hybrids, to a point where you can feel the bumps at times....but I like them. Let's see how they'll be a year or two from now.

Never did the announcement say transfer to Q17 Limited at 8:26....you're riding a Q17 Limited

I just rode 8871 to work on the Q17. I didn’t like this bus at first due to the design but 3 rides later and I feel this is probably the best LFS diesel they’ve came out with so far. Not to mention the improved interior.
