During the expedition to the 6,570 m high Tupungato, one of the highest mountains in the South American Andes, the Italian team from Ride oN MTB and the Chilean team from Inner Mountain together want to realize an extraordinary sporting adventure, in which not only the athletic aspect is in the foreground, but also culture and the environment are brought into focus. On a sporting level, the aim is to climb this inaccessible, extinct volcano by mountain bike and then ride it on bikes. It is a first ascent, the success of which is uncertain.
The project was accompanied by professional photography and filming. The resulting documentary film also sheds light on the historical background of the Incas in the region and emphasizes the importance of protecting the environment, which suffers greatly from mining in the resource-rich central Andes. The aim is to support the creation of the first nature park in the region.
