That's cool you got a Stihl saw but I'm afraid I liked the MTM more.

Power/Speed & Reliability. You just can't show up with a Chinese saw when you want someone to employ you and then spend 4 x as long falling a tree. The difference in power is unbelievable! Don't get me wrong, I love the MTM and I will continue to use it. Only yesterday I did the muffler mod and timing advance on her. I have polished air intakes, carby etc. Have made custom log spikes... she's not forgotten. But a pro saw like that Stihl is a whole different ball game.

Hi Alex, how did you retire the MTM? I bet you got your money's worth. Did you ever try stihl brand chain on th MTM. I'm thinking about buying one as a second saw. Keep up the good work .

Hey mate, that’s a Husqvarna file guide. Comes in a kit, coupla files and the guide. Available at any husky dealer or eBay. Make sure you get for the correct size chain.

Haha pretty much mate. Cruel hey. She’s my backup saw now. Still runs as great as ever. It was only today that I’ve given her a muffler mod and timing advance. She won’t be forgotten. 👍🏻

Ive still got my 62cc as a backup. It seems to find its way into the trailer every time. Cant wait to see the new girl; balls deep, screaming like a $2 hooker

Did you use toughened steel or just plain 1080?

@@kylegriffiths8599 Plain 1080, which is not strong enough. Bent straightaway. Best to make it out of hardened steel, like an old saw blade or something!

460 Rancher, 3/8 chain, will require to change sprocket. Oregon also makes a 325 version for the 460 Rancher which will not require to change the sprocket. Frawleys Saw Shop on eBay is the man.

Legend mate! Your video convinced me to by the mtm, couldn't justify the big dollars of a husky or sthil for the amount of times I would use it camping! I opted for the 72sx though.

It goes pretty good! Iv ran it in now on 25:1 fuel so now gonna up it to about 50:1 and look at doing a muffler mod just have to have a look at it and see how I'm gonna go about it! Any suggestions?
