Love these most metal screams of all time comments. If you are a metal song troll like me, they are everywhere. I have to say the beginning of 'The Great Southern Tend Kill" is still my all-time fav. There are several factors to consider. Length, guttural quality, and general kick-assery of the song. That one definitely meets all 3. I used to work for Mudvayne's label/marketing team from 2000-2004, and I have to say they were some of the nicest guys I ever met in metal (especially Kud [Chad] and Ryknow [Ryan]). The first time I saw them I was in Hollywood when I was 18 years old. They were so friendly and they let me on their tour bus to hang out. Some of the more memorable times of my life!!

We would send out demos (on cassette tape!), stickers, flyers from bands like Mudvayne, Slipknot, Fear Factory and Hatebreed on the label to our international teams for people to distribute locally. The company was Sickness Marketing, part of No Name Records. I also ran their website, took live concert photos (before phone cameras were a thing) and got to video interview some of them too. I remember interviewing Jamey from Hatebreed on their tour bus in San Francisco in 2001/2002 and traveling across CA for their live shows and documenting fans with pics and vids I got to photograph Mudvayne and Slipknot from the side of the stage during the pledge of allegiance tour 🥹 i really appreciate it
