Trust me Aurora is in a different world when she starts singing.. she's really into her music. Her facials expressions and movements shows it all as you were really aware! Would be glad if you react to Murder song 54321 at the same concert, TOTALLY WORTH IT.. Subbing for more Aurora reactions, because I really loved this first reaction honestly 😁👏🏽!

@@MugnifyRTS Others have said that she's comfortable on-stage, but that wasn't always the case. Her friends/family had to convince her to pursue music professionally (it was just a passion/hobby, but not something she expected to share with the world). This performance is early in her career, when she first started getting significant exposure in her home country, but was not very comfortable performing. If you compare performances from around then to today, there's a huge difference in confidence and choreography. Keep checking out AURORA; she's excellent and very unique, as well as just a good person.

She’s is very comfortable on stage.. this is natural for Aurora… that’s what makes her her… unique.. she feels the music her song.. it makes sense to her.. it’s moving her… and it’s captivating because we feel her passion.

It's interesting you say this cuz she has more recently said that she used to be quite uncomfortable on stage in the first couple years which is why she would stand in one spot and move her arms so much. Cuz she would get a lot of excess energy as she sung but didn't know how to comfortably release it. Now she runs/dances all around the stage cuz shes figured out how to release that energy in a more comfortable way

She never wanted to be a performer. Her mother persuaded her to give it a try. She was young and very nervous for this concert, (she said so in interview directly afterwards and it was lucky she hadn't drank too much before because she might of needed to pee)! She said recently at Glastonbury Festival that "Us introverts weren't supposed to be performers" and that it seemed about as natural to her as "taking a shit while you watch!" Another typical say what you're thinking out load Aurora moment? 🥰

You are spot on! Like she is coming from the woods: she love the woods.... She played in them so much so when her mother should call her in for dinner or someting they had a bell they rang! Nervous and unsecure: in the beginning of her carrier she did not like to preform.... She has said it took over 200 gigs before she liked / get used to it. This was her biggest crowd by far at that time, and she told after that she was SO nervous that she almost peed herself 😀. Aurora does not sing songs she LIVES them..... Murder Song from the Nobel Peace Prize concert or Through the eyes of a child from Nidarosdomen concert are mindblowingly fantastic!

She is very comfortable. Her confidence level is beyond measuring. She seems perfectly aware of every aspect of her performance. Here she is in an extremely intimate solo setting... just sparse electric piano and voice... nothing else. She carries herself through this performance with a sense of confidence that few artists can attain. There is not a single 'break' anywhere. It's absolutely flawless. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/obBgbJiElbPRnnU.html

I remember my sister introducing me to aurora way back in the early 2015 and I was taken aback, it was magical. When this live concert came up, I fell in love with this song all over again. The stage, the back up harmonies, the musicians, the rawness and the shape shift theatric aurora ventures are once in a life time experience. Also, the murder song in the same concert is divine.

Aurora is amazing. This performance is early in her career and you were right to say she seems nervous as she wasn't yet comfortable performing. The Murder Song from this Nobel concert is a masterpiece and you must react to it. Her body movements and eyes interpret her songs and she seldom realizes she is even doing it--a truly organic expression to carry her songs.

She is one of the most relevant artists in the last decade in my opinion. I'd sugggest not worrying too much about what she is trying to say and more on what it makes you feel. Art is for the listener. It's a gift given to us by the artist to be consumed as they wish.

I know it's 10 months later, but unless you have watched some of her interviews you wouldn't know... Aurora doesn't use her hand and body movements to convey deeper meaning, per se... As she says it, when she sings, she can't NOT move. There's some connection in her mind where the music basically MAKES her move. It's near compulsive. And is quite possibly the most purely open and honest expression of her music, as she refuses to even TRY to restrain those movements, as it would pull her out of the song, and she'd never want that...and neither would her fans. She's a joy to watch AND listen to. If you're older, especially, her way of being so ALIVE in her performances makes you long for childhood, when being so hyped about something, sometimes just being ALIVE, made you flail around and dance for the sheer excitement of it all...and Aurora calls back to that feeling. Listening to this song fills me with longing to HAVE a home where I belong, as I have not for a LONG time. And despite the melancholy that inspires, it still feels like being more alive just for having felt the longing. She's pure magic.

Her movements are uninhibited passion, she's not acting in a nervous way or self consciously, she's acting completely free, unburdened by the fear of looking out of place or looking awkward. Most of us would be too embarrassed or worry about what others are thinking. When people are this free, we can't help but smile, and feel a certain way, it is so attractive. Anyone can do this too, but it takes an incredible amount of bravery to let go like that, so it's incredible rare to see, that's why we love it so much.

Aurora ieaves the planet when she sings. She becomes the song. Her movements are just her energy. She is like a fairy. As she's gotten older, I think, she is in her early 20's, her movements have become an bit more controlled ( in my opinion.) Her voice is magical. I'm in my 70's and I just love listening to her. This artist is probably one of the most genuine that you will ever see. Her movements on stage is her, not an affectation and that’s what her audience love about her. Aurora is one of the most expressive and genuinely gifted artists I have seen in a long time. She wrote this song when she was 11, and she writes just about all her songs in collaboration with her drummer Magnus. You have just got started, but Aurora‘a going to stick in you mind like crazy man. Btw, she appears to all races, Black, Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, etc. She has a very strong fan base of all ages.

Aurora actually once said that she can’t help but move so much because the energy comes from where the music comes from so it just bursts out of her. She struggled a lot with it in her first 2 years of performing because she tried to keep still, but her hands would shake until she eventually learned to let it all go and let herself move with the music :))

First of all she is very into the song and feel it (this is not a trained movements). Secondly she is very expressive with her music. She is also introvert and in this age and first years for sure she was very nervous. But one thing does not change she is able to transmit her emotions and she take your attention. BTW: she wrote this song when was 11, and she has no formal education in music. And yes she has so many great songs/performances. I would recommend "classic" for me: - Lucky live from Nidarosdomen (she wrote the song at last partially when was 9) - All is Soft Inside and/or Churchyard live from KEXP 2018 - Running with the wolves (can be official video or one of live f.e. live session from her official channel or Pandora Session) And if you like then many more as she has many great songs (too be honest not easy to find not great ones ;) ).

What you are seeing is a human with absolutely zero inhibitions. She could care less what others think of her. It's just not part of her thought process. You don't attend an Aurora concert as much as she invites you into her world for a brief time. She is a unique individual full of love, void of hate, with lyrics that can sometimes be very dark. Both vulnerable and strong. The movements are just her feeling the song. Is she comfortable? I don't think she is never not comfortable. It's the gift of having no inhibitions. Things that concern you and I have no meaning to her, literally.

She's said more recently in a KEPX interview that in the first couple years of her singing career she wasn't comfortable on stage, but when she sings she feels filled with energy and has to release it physically. Now she does that by bouncing and dancing around the stage more but at this time she wasn't sure how to release it comfortably, so she just stood in one place and moved her hands and arms a lot. (Of course she still does this but moved her whole body more and her location on stage)

I grew up around a lot of artists. (musical and other types) When she is moving during the song it's kind of the way she "feels" the music and the lyrics. (from what I've been told by artist friends) The folks that I grew up with sometimes didn't even know they were doing a certain movement when they were playing or singing. Kind of like when a guitar player moves his mouth while playing a solo. That mouth movement is him singing the notes while playing. It's kind of hard to describe, but it is a "feel thing". Artists are quirky people with a different energy to them.

Where to start with Aurora? I fell down the Aurora rabbit hole 6years ago by accident and I’m now totally addicted to this young artist I can honestly say that no one has moved my emotions like her she is so special always staying true to her own beliefs of what the art of music should be all about.as a songwriter she is outstanding never do you hear the same old lyrics and cliches that mainstream churn out all the time,take this song it’s hard to imagine that she wrote it at the age of 11/12 but she actually started composing melodies at the age of 6 and wrote her first song at 9 which you should definitely check out it’s a masterpiece it’s called Lucky and her live performance of the song at the nidarosdomen cathedral in Norway will move you to tears it’s that moving.yes I’m a fan and have now seen her live 3 times and trust me she is without doubt the best live performer I’ve ever seen and at my age of 66 I’ve seen many artists live in concert.for me she is the essence of what the art of music should be all about her songs of poetry are a medicine for everyone and I’m so blessed to have her music in my life,❤️stay safe my friend and as Aurora would say “let love conquer your mind”sending kind regards from the UK.

She is not focusing on the crowd at all probably, she is focusing inwards and on the music to "escape", you can see at 7:31 she "wakes up" and realizes all the people applauding. At this point in her career, the first 2 years 2014-2015, she did not like to perform, and there were 8000 people in the hall plus live tv. She was not aware of the movements back then during her performances, here is a quote from a Nov 2016 interview: youtu . be / BNIUD9f4Szk&t=5m11s - I really love your music, but seeing you live was really a big draw for me, you are very physical live, and you almost seem to transform yourself when you sing, when you can feel it. - Aurora: I know I use my hands a lot. I didn't know in the beginning that I did, and when I watched a video of myself for the first time, by mistake and I will never do that again I swear to myself, I was very terrified. I look like I'm possessed. - It is very endearing, and it's very authentic....It just seems very natural. - Aurora: It feels nice, I think it is necessary. It's kind of like being asleep having a very strange dream, and you do things without even knowing it, and it would look very strange from the outside. I have so many emotions and opinions and words inside this tiny body, and I think every time I get the chance to get them out, and there is only like...and they all have to come out this tiny mouth, and I guess I just have to use every tool I have to help like the emotions come out alive my body I guess.

So, your saying she kind of has an out of body experience while performing
@Einyen
@Einyen 2 жыл бұрын
@@MugnifyRTS Not really, I would say she is more moved inside her own mind focusing completely on the music and the emotions she feels, maybe what she felt when he wrote the song, and her movement is like a "waking dream" as she said. This was mostly during the first 2 years, then later she learned to enjoy it and talk to the audience and interact with them. She is very empathetic even to a degree where it can be a hindrance for her. Even in recent concerts sometimes she felt so many emotions from the audience, that she was overwhelmed and forgot the lyrics, and had to pause and start over.

@@Einyen what you described is an out of body experience. smh
@Einyen
@Einyen Жыл бұрын
@@Jacob-sb3su Generally it is a term used for people having a near death experience, when they say they saw their own body from the outside before being revived. I guess you can also use it in case of someone daydreaming and staring blankly into space. But I would not use it in this case, because she is clearly controlling her body singing beautifully in front of 8000 people and live TV, and not just standing or sitting staring blankly. It is a matter of definition, but for me it fits better saying she retreated inside her own mind focusing only on her singing and her emotions and completely ignoring all the people and the cameras. If you want to call that an "out of body experience" that is fine by me, I guess she controlled her body remotely then.

No, there is no theatrics or performance. What you see is pure Aurora and what her fans love about her. When she sings, she’s in another world and we are fortunate that she’s taking us with her. She is very in tune with what’s around her, the wonders of nature, etc. She also studied contemporary dance so in many of her videos, you’ll see her dance and it will be quite different from when she’s just singing. She is one of the most loved singers for her songwriting ( she wrote Runaway when she was 11) the music, and her. Like the title of one of her songs, she’s “ a different kind of human” and is why we love her so much.

You seem to have missed out on the important word "don't", the song is about a runaway begging "Don't take me home, I can't take it anymore"

Agreed. Murder Song from the same concert is a good next step. Her Oasis cover at the concert is good too. It really depends on how you want to approach her material spread over 4 LPs. There are many facets to her. Though not necessarily true always, her earlier years tend be darker or more intense songs. Her newer songs are more uplifting. I also would suggest to check out a few more live performances before trying out her studio recordings/music videos. There's no right or wrong though. Depends on what you prefer :) Once you're done with this concert, It Happened Quiet at the Current (Live) is one of my absolute favorites.
