1. How to avoid slipping in logic, in faith, in Islam, in understanding Islam? My answer is: we must hold on to the rope of Allah (hablullah), to the complete instructions of Allah (ayatullah) because indeed every Muslim is obliged to practice Islam completely (kaffah). Just proceed to the question, what are the complete instructions of allah (ayatullah)? Isn't it enough to be safe if we stick to the Quran alone? What are the arguments of shara other than those drawn / inferred from the Quran and al Hadith? What are the instructions of allah (ayatullah) that can be drawn / inferred other than the Quran and al Hadith? What are the products of kalamulah other than in the form of the Quran? strictly speaking: Is there any source of Islamic law (mashadir ahkam) that is at the level of the Quran and the Hadith? 2. My answer: one of my main criticisms of the liberal/moderate/secular/moderate/ wasathiyah/pluralist/revisionist/progressive approach as well as the conservative/traditionalist/salaf/wahabi/literal approach and other approaches currently circulating is that all of these approaches only place the Qur'an alone as the kalamullah/ayatullah, meaning that they are still not full / complete (kaffah) Islam. Why is that? because as if the product of kalamullah is only the Qur'an, as if it were only the holy book. even though there are many products revealed/created by God that have the nature of al kalam, including ayat tarikhiyyah (human history), ayat kauniyah (universe), and ayat insaniyah (human self). 3. The Quran itself recognizes the existence of these 3 types of ayatullah (in addition to the Quran itself). Even the Quran has postulated it in the first verse when the Quran was revealed: Iqra! read! because surely what is told to be read and contemplated is the entire nature of allah's creation (not told to read the Quran), because when the iqra command (read) came down, the Quran had not yet been revealed, aka only one verse. Even just one word, iqra, if it is allowed to use hyperbolic sentences. The rest is still stored in the lauhul mahfudz. 4. Thus, based on the arguments that can be drawn from the Quran itself, the results of the study/interpretation/interpretation of all other products of Allah's word which also have the status of ayatullah (signs of Allah's power/instructions). And the end result is also the same as the status of "shara argument", as the end result drawn from the study of the product of God's word called the Quran. 5. Furthermore, since all other ayatollahs other than the Quran also have the status of "dalil shara", then all of the above types of verses also have the status of sources of Islamic law (mashadir ahkam) like the Quran and Hadith, from which Muslims must seek allah's guidance (god guidances) so as not to slip into misguidance because they have practiced Islam in ways that are not complete / not total (not kaffah). 6. So the arguments or instructions of allah (ayatollah) in the form of "dalil shara" that are derived from the research of scientists who have been called non-religious scientists (such as the laws of physics, the laws of biology, the laws of psychology, mathematical formulas, statistics, astronomy, the laws of history, political principles, grammar, etc.) all have the same status as the "dalil shara" that comes from the research of the verse of Allah called al-Quran, because all of these "dalil shara" also come from the same product, namely the product of the implementation of the same nature of God: al Kalam. 7. Furthermore, all of these "propositions of shara" can overrule the laws of other ayatollahs that were revealed first, because they are all products that have the same legal position/level (both ayatollahs). That means that in complete, comprehensive, kaffah Islamic law, what is known as the principle of lex posteriori derogate lex anterior certainly also applies in the discussion of the legal relationship between the "dalil shara" taken from the 4 types of ayatollahs (أركان آيات الله). 8. Thus, in shaa allah, as long as when we discuss everything, in search of a complete Islamic answer that is totally kaffah on everything, in revealing what allah's instructions (ayatollah) regarding all affairs in this world do not only quote the qauliyah verses (not only quote the Qur'an), and as long as it is also kaffah in finding answers also from the verse of history (ayat tarikhiyyah), from verses in the form of nature / science obtained from nature apart from the Quran (verse kauniyah), and willing to look also into humans (verse insaniyah), then in shaa allah, will not slip into liberal / secular / moderate / wasathiyah / pluralist / revisionist / progressive, and also in shaa allah will not slip into Quran Centric / conservative / traditionalist / salaf / wahabi / literal, etc. Wallahualam
