My mother said to me having kids either 18 months or 3 years apart is the best. 18 months because the eldest is too young to understand what’s going on and 3 years because they actually understand what’s going on and want to help. My kids are 3 years apart and the eldest used to run to get nappies and wipes and would always want to help stop the baby crying it was actually the cutest to see.
