From the sky to the ground, watch as we turn ordinary flower beds into so much more with mulch, mulch & more mulch. We will also sprinkle in a few annuals & perennials here & there. Plus we give our old friend Pom Pom Juniper a much needed haircut. The sheer used for the Pom Pom trimming is a HyperTough Sheer Shrubber. Here is the link: www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Toug...

Wow...what a difference between your property and your neighbors! They must be so envious of the beautiful oasis you have built for your family and the wildlife. Gorgeous...you have placed you energy in wonderful creative way. I totally love the rock, your daughter is very talented...must get it from you. Mulch is the trimming of the garden, congratulations on the graduation.

Such a beautiful space, not only for yourselves but a lot of thought for the wildlife too. After all what greedy and selfish people forget is, without the bugs and beetles, there are no bees, birds or butterflies etc, which equals no us. 👍👍👍

Love your tenacity and garden bird sounds. And round of a-plaques for that Pom Pom Juniper. Yes, lanterns look very serene in the garden, especially the type of garden you have with a plethora of plants. I would suggest that you wait until you have completed your garden and wait ‘til it’s almost sunset one day and light them all and this will tell you what areas and pockets to put them in the garden. Just an idea idea from my garden (I also used uplighting for my architectural plants and trees) and it was beautiful, especially when people walk-through at dusk when we’re having margaritas and guests over. Enjoy your weekend!

Litom solar lights from Amazon are very very bright. I use them to focus on planters. And can be moved serval times in your case. It’s had 600 lumens output. That may look nice focusing on your block wall.

Great job! You have a beautiful garden! I Ike the lanterns. They would look nice dotted in random places around the yard. It will give you that repetition and cohesiveness that will tie everything together, just maybe tuck them between shrubs so they don’t stand out so much and they’re not the first thing you see. Professional landscape lighting will be awesome!

I just love your videos. You have a keen eye for color and texture in the garden; something I learned from Laura at Garden Answer years ago. She would LOVE your spaces!! I love the idea of the lanterns so much. Is it possible that you are hesitant because they are modern looking when the rest of your garden items look more rustic? You could try to spray paint them and rough them up/ patina them to have them blend in with your current vibe? Either way, your yard is worthy of the front page of any garden magazine!!!

Lighting the pathway, trees and art work will be the cherry on top of all your hard work. I figured out why the lantern looks out of place. It needs to be rusty like the wagon wheels and bike to coordinate with things. I admire your work so much that its hard to express. If the note for the squirrels works, let me know. We're plagued with them and deer. Congratulations to your daughter's achievement.

I love the lantern! Try painting it a patina or copper color and maybe dirty up the white if the stark black and white is too much for ya. That’s a Linda Vater trick. The house we live in, my dad created a beautiful Japanese garden, he has copper, brass lanterns with a beige marbled glass all throughout the garden. Looks really cool with that theme. Your garden is just stunning, so surprising right in the middle of all those houses.

I think your space is a beautiful reflection of you. I can look at it and see how much your children mean to you how you are a sentimental person and how important it is to make other people happy with your expressions in the garden. Sometimes I think you might want to look at the mature size of some of the plants you're putting in but they can always be moved in the future. I recently found your channel and enjoy watching your enthusiasm and love for plants. Some people just plant plants and some people have a relationship with plants. You're the latter. Blessings.
