can still use the mulch kit to cut grass..or only to mulch leaf ?

ZH, at this time of year we won't have good cutting footage. They are designed for mulching reasonable in-season growth. -Ed

Absolutely. More people use it for mulching grass than for leaves. It has to do a lot with how robust the turf is and how often you cut. -Ed

@@WrightMowers most companies cut once per week in New York in the spring and early summer especially when you’re fertilizing The lawn is so thick and high. I think it’s still gonna have clumps. There’s nothing like catching the grass. I would probably get so many complaints, especially if it’s a little wet in the morning from the sprinkler system or dew

We find that the "wavy mulcher" tends to work the best in most conditions. -Ed

I would check the belt for wear or slippage, sharpen the blades or install a set of gator mulch blades.

Yes, we can sell just the side plate of the mulch kit. We do not sell a hinging flap (OCDC) but there are a umber of good options out there. -Ed

Wright Commercial Mowers what would be the part number for a zto 48 deck

That is a Stander ZK with a 61" deck.

A lot of guys put that on Wrights as well but they don't cut as well as blocking each chamber. -Ed

@@raymondj8768 - let's please keep it civil and without the colorful metaphors as they are unnecessary. He is an engineer for this company of which he takes pride in what he builds and shows how easily the full kit can be put on their machines as well as some of the features of it (blocking all the chambers off and build quality). He also offers guidance on blade selection based off of what I suspect is extensive research and testing. Thanks for the info, Wright Mowers! I have no experience with these machines, but they look like a very fine machine - just uncommon in my particular area (SW TN). I have two ZT machines with side discharge (not Wright's as I have no dealers here, so I'll not list brand name(s)) both with the discharge blocker that I can drop in place or not, so I know the trade offs of such. I usually end up with a small line of finely chopped grass at the discharge side of the mower when in slightly taller than normal stuff where I know a true mulch kit would not. I also have a tractor type that has an add on blocker, similar results in grass that should have been cut a few days before. All 3 I do not install the mulch kits on these mowers due to the fact that most of the time I discharge. I do not notice this when mowing standard height nor especially during leaf chopping operations. Only taller stuff gives this issue, and if objectionable I'll cut to almost finished height discharging then mulch at finished cut height - but of course this nearly doubles my time. Everything is about choices for your situation.

@@onerbfromtn4320 thank you for the reply. There is a major difference between covering up a discharge chute and isolating each blade. The finished product is... done! It’s a great option, thank you wright mfg! PS I am running the mulch set up on my 36” Wright and working on installing a kit on a 52” stander currently. If I can get the correct kit! 😬🤞🤞
