Thank you! Sometimes you just have to get it done... I've always had a love of plants and ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted a massive flower garden. I guess garden design comes natural to me. 🤷🏾‍♀️☺️

@creatingyourgarden I went to the nursery & they were double, & triple the price. I went to another Lowes (there are 3 Lowes around my area & some have different stuff. Lowes had them for $12. I also saw the Japanese painted Fern at my Lowes which I want to get $8, half price of Nursery. Need to make room, shift plants around. Also Whitney you can get alot of pavers for cheap or free sometimes on marketplace

@@thecs9169 yeah people always say shop at the nurseries instead of the big box stores but honestly a lot of the nurseries are double and even triple the price of the big box stores. I go where my money spends the farthest. One Nursery I went to had the same hellebores that Lowe's has for $15... they have them for $40 🙄 ridiculous. And I'm always checking the Marketplace for deals

I will stick to Lowes. Last year I went to the nursery looking for a River Birch. I love the way the tree has a peeling look. Nursery was $269 & Lowes was $59. I was sooo happy. I did go overboard & bota Sugartina (so fragrant) for $50 at the Nursery bcoz I had never seen this anywhere. Few weeks later I found it online at Lowes. Then when I went in, they had it in clearance for $17. I learned my lesson.

You may want to put the card board Father away from the stem of the hosta. That’s a large hosta and will grow huge if you let it. The rain will always drop off the leave tips , there is where you want the card board out side of. A plant wil grow if the water drip is Father from the stem. Think of an apple tree ,you don’t wa the at the tree trunk you water where the rain drops off the leaves. If you put card board too close to the stems the rain won’t get through the card board this season. I have grown & sold hosta many years. Can’t wait to see your garden next year. Thing thing I miss about selling my home is my1100 type host collection & 25 year old garden. Yes , I took parts of all my faves, but mostly collection of minis now . Used up my 3 acres to koi ponds & hostas.

Wow 😍 I would have loved to see your garden... probably would have bought the house just based on the garden LOL I bet it was beautiful. Hoping to have a koi pond someday. Thanks for the tip! 💕

Looks excellent! I’ll be doing the same tomorrow-working in the rain, it’s been a week of rain and another week to go and I’ve got to get mulch on areas I had cleaned out 🤷🏻‍♀️. What did you add to the Hosta holes, bone meal? Fertilizer? They are my favourite perennial and I’m always trying to improve them and yours do so well ❤️ Can’t wait to see what you will be doing in the Secret Garden, should be fun! Thanks so much. Brenda🇨🇦

I think she added Bio-tone. A starter fertilizer. That’s what the bag looked to be. I use it also that is how I recognized it. 😊

Its been raining all week here too, I enjoy it plus the garden is not on drip irrigation so every bit of water helps. I only really water newly planted plants and the vegetable garden. And I sprinkled a little bit of biotone in the holes but I don't always use that... Stacy was right! ❤

@@brendahayes3365 you can also use Osmocote a slow release fertilizer. Hosta don't require much fertilizer. I let leaves stay in between them, for the Winter and they feed the soil.
