I honestly believe that when Muldrotha is on the battlefield, Search for Azcanta might as well say "At the beginning of your upkeep mill 1." You're basically drawing 2 cards that way, the one that goes to your yard, and the one underneath it that you draw for turn.

Love muldrotha, such a fun commander. She is very strong, but I honestly think she can be overfocused at times. In 2023 a 6cmc do nothing cmdr when it enters the field is a hefty price to play. She needs so much mana/draw/ramp in order to protect herself and her game plan.

To be fair boardwipes are the last thing you also need on muldrotha, you had more then enough removal and you get those back every round. But to be fair that table didnt let you have much room for mistakes 😅

Now that you've played this deck. I'd love to see you play Yarok the Desecrator with Muldrotha as the hidden commander. I bet you would really enjoy that one. It just abuses etb's

As much as I love Muldrotha, she's no where near good enough for cEDH. Her ability is strong in casual, but having a commander thats 6 mana that you need to untap with just isnt efficent enough. The only thing that makes her cEDH viable is being in blue and black for Thoracle wins, but there are better options

You can also use the Hexmage to remove the counters from the planeswalkers

Vampire hexmage would also work with the dark depths in the deck. Used to run both in my old Muldratha deck

There's no Sakura-Tribe Elder in this deck. Random oversight? Navigation Orb might also be a consideration, it's a bit mana hungry though.

Just play toxic deluge and pernicious deed, is a must. That heavy mana rock is not necessary. I don't play rocks in my muldrotha because you can ramp with life from the loam and other cards.

Muldrotha, while definitely not cEDH, is beyond screwed up in most casual games. The "trick" I found was to play exclusively cheap cards and cast Muldrotha last. When you run 60 2-for-1s that all cost less than 3 mana and a commander that replays them all, you don't need much else. Yeah, graveyard hate hurts, but you don't need a massive toolbox of 1/2 your deck. "Strip Mine, Plaguecrafter, Animate Dead on Plaguecrafter, Seal of Removal" is going to obliterate 90% of casual tables not running fast combo. There's no need for expensive, splashy cards - hit with Muldrotha and a few other 2/2s and kill them over 20 turns.

The misplay after killing pj still hurts. Good chance i killed flintlock on my turn as he wouldn't have killed me

Volrath's Stronghold, Diamond Valley, Yavimaya Hollow, ABU Duals... How many Reserved List lands can we cram into one mana base 😅.

Ill be honest, I dont really agree with the assessment here. Muldrotha is very sluggish, and just a single piece of graveyard removal is enough to shut it down. It being 6 mana is definitely a hinderance as well.

Another note in my books is that board wipes are bad for the EDH game. If you build your deck correctly you shouldn't need any board wipes. It's just a catch up mechanism that makes games way too long. I prefer to battle it out and go to a new game. (OG 2012 CMDR player).
