Today we have a special treat as we get an inside look at an industry leader with Perficut Inc in Des Moines Iowa. Owner Kory Ballard takes us on a tour of the Perficut operation and shares what it took to get to where he is today almost 30 years later. This was a blast to see this type of lawn care tour which came right after we did a shop tour of Ballard Inc's warehouse right down the road.
Kory and his business partner Matt have built Perficut into a top 150 landscaping company in NA and have truly helped impact the lawn and landscape industry for the better. Kory gives us a behind the scenes tour of all of their facilities and shares some helpful tips along the way for those aspiring to grow a massive company.

I just bought my first mower. I have a blower and a weed eater. Borrowing my grandpa's trailer. Planned this all last week and this video shows up in my recommendations. I guess everything is falling in to place for once. Must be all that good clean living. Nice video by the way

i worked at a company that had more then they even had two garbage trucks lots of other trucks but most of them where close to the junk yard :)

@@jayman61ca I worked at a place with a bigger yard and more equipment but I think your not considering the fact his company has 4 or 5 entire yards like the one your speaking of. 200 employees + like the company I worked for but we had one massive yard. Tractor trailers/mulch spraying semi trucks and even the huge 5 deck Toro reel mowers for golf courses. Flawless landscaping in Palm Bay FL 🌞

This is the one of the greatest examples that this is the greatest country in the world.. a country full of opportunities! that if you have a dream, heart and drive, you can achieve it. It shows where his heart is, to hear that an employee is doing better than before. We used to have three trucks running me my brother and my dads. Now it's down to me. Now after a bout with cancer my goals are to reach $120,000 to $180.000 a year for a two person truck only running 5 days. Corey has shown how it's done. My quote is there is more grass to cut out there than lawn operators. So open up your own company and make the money. Great video

This just blows my mind, how big that company is! So amazing. I've been cutting a minimal amount of yards for years and could never imagine getting that big. Yet again, I wouldn't want to be that big but this is just so cool.

Hey! Hey! I am binge watching (yesterday and today).....but being VERY selective as to what I am consuming! This was absolutely amazing. Great info, great insight, great time. Just starting out in the Lawn Care Space (well, professionally speaking....been a Lawn Care enthusiast for all my life) so this was really inspiring. Biggest take away.....getting and retaining employees. Looking forward - when the time is right - to hiring my first person.

Big respect for that company. It's not easy keeping all your employees on the right page, even if you have the smoothest operation in the country. A little incentive/motivational talks and things should square up quickly. It seems as if there's a 'tier up' almost in lawncare. You have the mom & pop business running basic equipment, then the clean cut guys with their new riding mowers and their name on their shiny new trailer, and then you have the 'Tier 1'/Corporate-style outfits. It must really take a lot of work to get from one stage to the next. I mean, how much more work would you or any of the KZfaq lawncare community have to do to have your own vehicle lifts installed in your buildings? And your own yard with your own fuel storage tanks. Holy smokes.

Love the video. I would like to see a good video interview with his business breakdown on paper. Like explaining where he gaining profit, losing profit, cost differences for in house maintenance vs outside maintenance etc. good stuff though!
