Awesome episode! Question. At 18:11 when Jon sacs the Construct and the rancor via his commander, isn't that two card types? or does the Construct count has an creature and an artifact?

Correct, Jon's commander only cares about total types, since the construct has 2, it'll count those 2 and rancor's for 3 total

I knew as soon as Copper Dragon was revealed it was going to be busted. IMO would have been fine as just a D6. Dragons were already powerful. They didn't need this addition.

"Days of our Lives" though, will never be beaten, it will not get caught ever. it started airing in 1965 and it is still going, every week a new episode.

Yeah that dragon deck I really want to build my own version of it, And I knew that the commander with Tempest would just be disgusting The moment I saw the commander preview And now I'm just like I need to get a copy of that thing, And maybe take apart my red blue green deck that is token based And turn it into a dragon token's deck.

Man, I love dragon harmonicon! Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm is what I have always wanted to do commander as I love Dargons, though I don't want to play any of the five color dragons nor do I want to rely on the eminense ability of the most recent Ur Dragon. Its big, it flys, I personally like the ward mechanic; though anything above ward 3 feels really obnoxious to play against, and its a built in harmonicon/helm of the host kind of effect for even more of my favorite dargons while refining it's color choice for temur if which already has all the support you would need for your dragon tribal deck. Hoping Jeremy wins but will stay tuned for the edit update.

Wait attacking somebody in last place loses you a point? So how do you kill them then?

This graphic was outdated. Knocking out the person in sole possession of last, if they're the first person knocked out, looses a point.

killing someone in last place loses you a point, not attacking, it's just a punishment that helps mitigate someone from getting first place several times in a row, if you killed all other opponents you will get the points for first place, but have to get the downside of you were the one to kill the last place, similar to their rule of -1 point for killing everyone else on the same turn. it's just to keep it more fun casual side of gameplay and not "it's turn 3 i play thoracle, no one has a counterspell so i win"

i love the miirym as a commander. Ive done something similar with ganax and dragon broodmother. was making 12 treasures every upkeep.

I did this last night!, Rolled 19 treasures, ended the game that turn with prosper.

Miirym is so busted. If that card resolves and untaps in any meta that isn't highly comp that runs a lot of interaction its just over.

To be fair to corey, curse of the swine would've done almost nothing. Sure he exiles 4 things, but jeremy would draw 2 cards and get 4 damage of pings which could've killed the two 2/2's. Also he gets 4 2/2's to block with, and corey wouldn't have had the true conviction to even deal that much damage with. So they both still die the next turn. Really the only answer there was a wrath. Hindsight being 20/20, since suarez drew a deluge that would've been an answer, but corey didn't know that was going to happen.

It's the reason I only play my 3 casual dragon decks in big pods so that everyone has a chance to choose not to be a delicious snack for the dragons.

25:23 as a reminder (because I see this a lot everywhere) when floating mana with Urza's Saga, that is during the draw phase so you often won't be able to cast much with it (like the Skullclamp here).

Saga triggers on main phase 1. Though I’m pretty sure if you are responding to the trigger by activating the land you do not search for an artifact

bahamut says commanders you own...not control. own applies to your hand library gy exile battlefield command zone and if someone else controls your commander.

It says commander CREATURES, which only applies to them while on the battlefield. Anything that would refer to them in other zones would say creature cards, as they're only referred to simply as creatures whilst in play.
