He goes on to discuss how to improve the diagnostic accuracy of mpMRI, including optimizing image acquisition, use of training sessions to refine the radiologist’s expertise and interpretation of results, as well as how to reduce systematic and random error associated with MRI-directed biopsy.

This is the best video on mpMRI I have found. He clearly illustrates the importance of training and good image capture in correctly using the MRI to identify significant lesions. THIS is the kind of doctor you want to find if your case is borderline for prostate cancer, so that you can biopsy the significant areas of the prostate, and avoid a random 12-needle pincushion biopsy that can misdiagnose either positive or negative. One issue is when the MRI (at this stage) radiologist report notes indeterminate bone issues etc, which are frequently innocuous but spur all sorts of further inquiry, anxiety etc. Especially if the biopsy later notes low risk findings of PC.
