Multiple colours for strokes and fills, that you could cycle through to try out different combinations could be good.

I'm studying to design two extensions, one would be a time tracking that records each edit entry and the total number of hours in SVG, and a simplified halftone tool... let's see if I can do it.

Time tracking Tool could be a useful addition to later base an animation timeline functionality like in Blender for on it. And also maybe some macro "recorder" and play based on start and endtime

Martin, congratulations on your work; you are very skilled at what you do. I would like to suggest a feature for Inkscape: an automatic carousel cutter. I've noticed many people create carousels and resort to external websites for cutting them. Even though one can create multiple pages and export them in Inkscape, an automatic cutter would be quite beneficial. What do you think?

I like the idea; would you be interested in designing it? The job is basically to lay out step by step what the function would look like (UI and workflow) and then describe with source svgs and final svgs what it should look like when the process is completed. Interested?

😮 ...aditionaly i miss a kind of trapezoidal distortion of embedded raster pictures. I dont know how svg conform this would or could be. But definitely would be cool and useful functionality to "map" them onto an object (perspective drawings)

In SVG we use matrix transforms to translate, skew, rotate and scale. These are all 2D transforms. But perspective drawings need a third dimension so if we add it, we'd have to fake it. Maybe by re-encoding the image. It's one of those possible, but more difficult that you would expect problems.

Great work as ever, keep it up, looking forward to the new version, btw does anyone address M.Davies design's problems with inkscape regarding stability? just curious as he is one of the biggest users and advocates of FLOSS and his input is well received by followers of his youtube>

No, Inkscape itself can't have a public roadmap because it's too chaotic and decentralised. There's just too many people with their own individual priorities. I have a roadmap though, it's 1. cmyk 2. connectors tool. It's not a very long map. 😉
