Multiple Sclerosis Patient Learns Tie-Dye on TikTok

In the early days of the pandemic, Walker, like so many others, found himself scrolling on TikTok. Instead of choreographed dances, he saw tutorials on how to tie-dye. The psychedelic art became more than a creative outlet. It's now a business and Walker says it's become like therapy. Walker was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 15 years ago. He says tie-dye helps him when the symptoms of MS get difficult.

I'm not a doctor, but I did take a lot of neurology courses for my degree and I can say that his positive attitude and the fact that he keeps his brain busy with his hobby can help his symptoms long term and potentially help slow the progression. People don't realize how important it is to keep your mind working. Treat it like a muscle.

Haha! I had to do a double take. His name is Scott Walker. That also happens to be the name of one of our former state governers! I live in Wisconsin. I know no one cares, but I'm sharing anyway. 🤣😂

I’m glad TikTok is still shown as a way of life for most people. Makes me sad honestly people just refer to the social media platform as “brain rot” and whatnot like yes that’s partly true but for the most part it’s a gateway to unlimited creativity with very little to no restrictions set on it

I remember we’d use to Tie- Dye white shirts for field day back in 5th grade it was fun I think the colors were red blue yellow green and purple and then I used to describe what we were based on the colors of our shirts 😂

He wasn't complaining. I'm very sorry about your wife, that's really sad. We can't be comparing each other's degree of suffering, tho. We're all losers when it comes to pain, suffering and Ioss of life.
