The Dark Dimension is outside of time, therefore it is not a part of any multiverse timeline and probably is immune to incursions. It’s also likely why it was chosen by Marvel for Clea to be the person who recruits Strange to fix the Incursion.

It's only out of time and everything else because an incursion destroyed it's reality, strange fed on it and he became one with it. For instance if he ate all the infinity stones of that reality and we all know that the stones hold different aspects of reality, as the great one said remove one stone darkness will follow. All stones removed would definitely cause total nothingness

@@mattdamon2084 Stephen Strange literally stopped Dormammu by bring time into the Dark Dimension using the Time Stone because the Dark Dimension is outside of time. Go back and rewatch the first Dr Strange movie.

@@MrRawRock He didn’t bring time into the dark dimension, the infinity stones simply work outside their home universe as shown in What If. The Dark Dimension is just a universe ruled by Dormammu, who seeks out other universes and consumes them into his own. It’s like the multiverse version of cancer.

I miss Strange Supreme. My dudes just chilling in a glass ball, holding a smaller glass ball with beings inside that could destroy the multiverse for eternity. Maybe he deserved it for destroying his own universe accidentally, but like.....he doesn't. He don't deserve an eternity of nothingness.

I appreciate your crazy theories, but... Generally, time has shown to be the same in all the multiverses, so Dormammu would have been corrupted long before the events of the infinity war and long before 838 was fighting Thanos. The simple explanation was the universe that Dr Strange was fighting his evil counterpart with the 3rd eye was probably the universe that 838 destroyed in order to beat Thanos.

But recall that this Dr Strange would still have the timestone, and presumably would've used it to help study the darkhold faster.... indirectly destroying all concept of time itself within the dimension too, making it destroyed entirely regardless of timeframe.

I rewatched the first Dr. Strange before seeing this one. In that movie he said he had a photographic memory & that was how he was able to get his 2 degrees at the same time. Wanda did destroy the dark holds in all dimensions but if any Dr. Strange(s) looked through them couldn't they use those spells or write them down without physical dark holds? Like our Strange. Maybe that's why he got the 3rd eye. Because he remembers the spells from the dark hold.

The eye is a power up. When a being reaches a certain level of power. Wanda destroyed the main dark hold temple. Dark hold power is gone. sure mcu 616 held the only dark hold temple.

I think this is a reach, especially since it's I'm pretty sure the dark dimension is not a separate universe, but a dimension within 616. Think about it, the only way to travel the multiverse is America Chavez or dreamwalking (despite what is said in 1st Dr Strange Movie, sling rings don't seem to be able to travel the multiverse), and yet Strange went to the dark dimension and the Ancient One drew power from it. This would make it seem more like the mirror dimension or the quantum realm, a place that can only be reached through special means, but still part of the same universe.

Fun fact The “hon hon hon” french laugh is thought to have originated from french actor Maurice Chevalier, the interesting bit is Maurice had a Persian accent and it is that accent that we know consider to be the “stereotypical” french accent. Also he was most famous for a song called “Thank Goodness for Little Girls”. Do what you will with that piece of history.

When Reed Richards says to 616 Strange “in your words things got out of hand” in reference to 838 Strange. That phrase is the same line Sinister Strange said in the trailer but interestingly not in the release of the movie.

Idk. I think it’s possible we see or hear more about Clea and Stange’s adventure in a non doctor Strange movie, unless they the success of this one gets them wanting to fast tack the next Doctor Strange movie. There were six years in between the first two movies and I know there was a pandemic, I just don’t see them waiting another six years to give us a resolution to that post credits scene. That’s just my opinion though.

We need secret wars to be 2 parts. The first part setting up all the universes that are fighting and why. The second part being the main conflict and maybe a third part dealing with the aftermath of it all…. It needs to be even bigger than Infinity war and endgame

talking about Dormamu and Strange Supreme, everyone keeps forgetting that Infinity Ultron was just crashing through dimensional barriers willy nilly when he fought Uatu! Like, seriously, they were just SHATTERING through those dimension walls. That's got to be some incursion level stuff happening as a result.

I think because a eye you have a ebrow and eye socket to create a shadow and depth, so when its on your forehead with a flat surface it looks off

Yeah, I think it’s because there is no orbital bone to house it and it always looks unnatural. Tracking it during motion or during facial expression must be a total pain in the ass too.

I feel like the rules of incursions might be different in the MCU than in the comics. I think in the comics it's stated that if the 2 Earth's collide both universes are destroyed, and I'm understanding that to mean they cease to exist. Sinister Stranges universe in the movie seems to be broken, but it's still there with him living in it. How did this work?

I love how agents of shield season 4 set up so much in this movie and in Wanda vision it set up the possibility of other universes with project looking glass and Aida trying to break into another universe and ghost rider talking about how space and planets and dimensions are all territories in a war that’s been going on since the beginning of time

I think it would be a good idea making a movie in another universe but the revealed been at the end if not at the post credits. That would make everyone crazy. Maybe, xmen, inhuman or f4. These characters can join later in the mcu with the incursion of their planets and at the same way we explore other universes.

My main question is what did the illuminate do with the infinity gauntlet that the dead Thanos had on his hand..? Did they leave it there, take it, destroy it? What? And where are the last 2 stones? Does vision exist in the 838 universe and did dr strange have the time stone in the 83 universe??? Like I have many questions about the whole movie

Your theories are fun, but only that. Not accurate or well-thought out at all haha The Dark Dimension is like the Mirror Dimension, it exists in every universe because it's not a UNIVERSE, its a DIMENSION. What you're implying here is that the Dark Dimension is a singular "universe" and you're just neglecting to use the proper term lol.

I did hear that originally Dormamu was supposed to look like corrupted Strange and that's why Cumberbatch voiced him, so that kind of tracks. Though I thought maybe Sinister Strange's universe was the one 838 strange dream worked in and destroyed?

Dormamu being a strange variant would be awesome!! Would also tie in nicely to the illuminati saying the Dr Strange was the biggest threat to the multiverse. Could be them hinting at Strange being Dormamu

The Darkhold like the star wars dark-side promises ‘fulfillment’ by taking more from others. The book of Ashanti shy’s away from taking from others but also doesn’t explain how to be ‘fulfilled’. That is why people wander between the two. Both try to give internal peace by modifying things around you, instead of acknowledging that true peace only comes from within.

Big miss on this one. The dark dimension is a dimension within every universe, not it's own separate universe. Dimension is its own thing, not just another word for universe.

dimensions and Universes are different, You can have multiple dimensions in the same universe but not multiple universes in the same dimension. As an example in antman and the wasp when they shrink down to the quantum realm thats its own dimension. The dark dimension and earth 616 in Dr strange 1 exist in the same universe and other universes have their own version of the dark dimension.

I think each Universe has its own timelines.. i was thinking how one Universe can have multiple branches in time.. and some people might call those other branches... universes.. but i think. The universes in this movie. are completely different.. than just branches..

I do believe dormamu is also a dr. Strange variant but he should be left alone for some other story. I think 838 strange did the exact same thing that 616 strange did with the time stone so he ended up killing 14 million universes to save one. He put himself in a time loop and the used the book to dreamwalk to fight thanos from other universes over and over again.

Feels like this had way too much conflating of universes, dimensions, and timelines. He speaks of the Dark Dimension and Mirror Dimension as though they're universes when, based on the evidence, dimensions exist within universes; so every universe would potentially have its own Dark Dimension.
