We need a "Building a safe house out of your ideas." Basically, a few random people suggest the aspects of the house being protected, and you build hundreds of rings, each a few blocks thick, and then random people suggest which defenses to put in said rings. Those who suggest explosives should be given a few empty rings nearby so they don't explode other people's defenses.

I have a solution for the dropping floor trap, instead of pushing the sign, try retracting an already activated piston so the block the sign is hanging on disappears breaking the entire sign chain

I like how the falling floor lags so that even if they somehow had a way of getting off of the floor, the lag skips to the part where they are burning alive. How nice.

This house is on a whole nether level

Honestly, as much as this is a great base, it could be beaten with 6 items. An elytra, maybe some firework rockets, a spyglass, a pickaxe, TNT, and an axe. Even assuming no knowledge. 1. Elytra in from an above edge. Counter or dodge Ghast fireballs, stay up, landing by the doors. 2. Look through the windows (such a secure base would obviously use decoys) and notice the trap, use the axe to break through the wall/ceiling, killing the minecarts. 3. No water means it's a false entrance. Look down with a spyglass to see what's down there. 4. Drop TNT into the pit to break the doors. Any traps won't reach you from up there, and the string will drop it, killing the minecarts. 5. Finally elytra down. If you're good, you can get safely through the doors. If not, use the rockets to boost yourself out. Mine anything in your path.

I like the chains underneath the lanterns instead of above. I like the idea that the Nether is "off", and doesn't quite follow the physics rules of the overworld. I follow that same rule when I build in my world: buildings in the overworld are generally built with gravity in mind, like support posts and no floating parts, but buildings in the Nether can do whatever they want and have floating slabs for stairs and such.

1 if you want to put obsidian for the tnt to land on then make sure the obsidian is under the lava by 1 block that will make the tnt explode without breaking anything allowing you to replace the wall with any design you prefer 2 the tnt cart at the house could use a deactivation system that would be really simple but helpful like breaking a specific block before entering in order to turn off the security and allow you to actually get inside instead of falling into the mine carts yourself 3 the only type of projectile that doesn’t get slowed by lava is a trident meaning that you can make a simple deactivation system that only works when you throw a trident through a pillar of lava to hit a target block behind it(the lava would work as a filter slowing every projectile besides the trident) 4 you can use number 3 for the tnt part so you can have a strider stable inside your base for when you want to leave And 5 you can use lava to hide your base pretty sure no one would take a look thinking he would find a hidden base (besides me) this would be the best part because ppl flying by with elytras won’t stop to investigate sorry if i typed too much

The nether portal trickery is much more informative and interesting than most of your typical redstone defenses, the minecart trap was also completely new to me.

Mumbo has been arming me with the knowledge of how to make slime machine weapons of mass destruction and it brings me such joy.

in terms of turrets, shulkers are great. they can blend into the build and if you add them to your team they attack basically every hostile mob and every player, except you. obviously not something that can be done in survival tho, especially if you count using commands like team as non-survival.

Legend has it, those few who have made it in the safe house only found, *diamond hoes and wooden boats.*

Mumbo, you entrance to your base is a hole in the lava, your exit is through a neather portal, your base is under lava. That entire defences system is defending nothing. You basically made a gaint distraction, but even though it's just a giant distraction, it would probally work as one because people will spend time trying to get into that not your real base

You should be add some under-lava TNT cannons, which shot TNT verticaly with random delays. Also set cauldron with water at landing place entrance/
