Bionic Six is almost exactly 10 years older, but do I remember both of them running on the same cartoon block on Super RTL in the late 90's, with Extreme Dinosaurs in between them, and Gargoyles afterwards leading into the Disney block with shows like Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Duck Tales, and Gummi Bears. Thag channel had this unusual pattern of airing the more mature shows earlier. Occasionally, they would swap out Bionic Six for Michel Vaillant; that was a much less interesting show. And I *dreaded* December because, for that month, they would always insist on shoving The Secret World of Santa Claus into one of these slots. I think they still do that current year.

I used to call this show as "Egyptian Power Rangers living in San Francisco", its song is so catchy and I like all four heroes a lot! The story was great and I enjoyed the character development for the main cast too! I just find it amusing the creators gave Nefertina panther-like armor AND let her have a whip in a kids show lol.

Doubt it helped that the artists didn’t seem to know how to draw actual mummified dead people. “Let’s just take normal hot looking gym-goers and give them grey skin! That’s probably what a mummy looks like, right?” Me; 🤦‍♂️

Okay, I learned something new: Every time something really odd sounding is sung in a German cartoon intro the English original was exactly as strange in the exact same way and they just translated it. But nothing will ever beat "partly metal partly real" from the Silverhawks.

This should be the next collab Fortnite does. They've already done Dragonball, Naruto and other animes, as well as Ninja Turtles and now Avatar (and Korra) series. For their next cartoon or anime crossover, they should do an Egyptian themed one. I'd like to see either Mummies Alive or Yu-Gi-Oh. And the current season of Fortnite would be good for this, as its theme is already ancient Greek/Roman mythology. Why not do a crossover about ancient Egyptian mythology?

“Let’s kick Tut.” Cartoons became straight trash around 2010. There were a few gems here and there, but nothing like the 80’s and 90’s. Stack this with Mighty Max, Biker Mice from Mars, Inhumanoids, Pirates of Darkwater, Wildcats, Fox Kid’s X-Men, and a box of sugary cereal….that is the recipe for a blissful Saturday.
