Prasar Bharati Archives presents Munda Tribe, mainly inhabit in the region of Jharkhand and also West Bengal, Chhatisgarh, Orissa and Bihar. They are an Austroasiatic speaking ethnic group of India.
They predominantly speak the Mundari language as their native language, which belongs to the Munda subgroup of Austroasiatic languages.

So what I notice is that even all these tribal people are very much like the general population in the way that they dress and their music and other traditions. I mean they're not like totally different like the Andamanese people. Like any American would not be able to tell that they're different from other Indians.

They adopted these traditions over time after exposure to modern Indian culture. Basically assimilation into society like the native Americans of North America. The Indians in the Caribbean who descended from these tribes in the late 1800s and early 1900s kept more of the older traditions alive before the newer generations were exposed to Bollywood and started to take more influence from traditional desi culture. The traditions, dress and even language of that diaspora was completely foreign to typical north Indian culture today and in some aspects even the new adaptations shown in this video. Unfortunately those traditions have died just like the majority of traditions and forms of dress/language that probably died before this video was made and therefore rendered unable to be shown. As a descendant of Munda people born and raised in America I can honestly say that Americans do notice a difference and get confused when I say I am of Indian descent on account of my skin being dark (basically black) having curly hair and my facial features not being “typically Indian” which in their mind is light skin, straight hair, long nose, bushy eyebrows, chubby cheeks, and abundance of facial hair. They usually think I’m mixed with black and the desi American population that isn’t aware of these tribes I believes the same as well. Some Americans (on account of what they see in Bollywood) quite literally believe that “all Indians are light skinned with straight hair and big noses”-actual quote I’ve heard in high school
