I do believe Ohtani and respect his honesty. He was a person with a strong integrity in heart, believing that "A life doesn't create your dream. Your dream creates your life" and "win or loss wouldn't matter, but making all the efforts matters to me."

When Ohtani was in the dorm for the Fighters, he deposited all his salaries to his mother. Ohtani received 150,000 yen, or around 1,000 dollars every month from his mother. However, because of his simple life not because of gambling, he couldn’t spend all the money. Ohtani’s interest was just how to unleash his potential as much as possible. His attitude toward baseball has not changed at all in the Angels and the Dodgers.

LA has history in putting murals up of Athletes. You'll see Kobe, Ohtani, Mookie, etc... throughout LA. Even Dodger Stadium has that for its players.
