As expats living in Valencia, just a few hours on Renfe gets us to Murcia, it was a perfect getaway to explore a new region. We had a lot of fun making this video so we hope you enjoy Murcia as much as us! Cheers!

A Couple of Nomads?
Who are we?
Well, we are a couple from worlds apart that has chosen Valencia, Spain to be our home base. Vicky is born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, now an American citizen. Josh is an American, well, born and raised in small town, Ohio.
We left our jobs, family and friends and moved to Valencia, Spain in the middle of the pandemic. We decided to that we should also start a KZfaq channel to show the world that, you can do anything (even if you are getting grey hair), if you think you can! It's always amazing to see your hometown through the eyes of visitors and it makes you appreciate it even more. Thanks for making such a beautiful video about Murcia, you guys did a great job. If you don't mind, just a couple recommendations for future visitors, Murcia is a very walkable city so please make sure you don't miss these places: -Teatro Romea (beautiful theatre with an interesting history) -Alfonso X (recently pedestrianised and perfect for a walk or sit down for some tapas) -Museo de Santa Clara ( old convent with a beautiful Moorish style courtyard) -walk along Traperia (beautiful shopping street) and basically explore around! In terms of food, you made amazing recommendations and I would only say that people need to try "Pastel de Cierva" from the famous bakery La Peladilla, you can only find this in Murcia! and if you happen to be in the city during the spring festivities make sure you go to a "barraca" and try all the delicious regional foods!

Marinera in three bites sin romper... Are qualified to be a local. It not easy... The murcian gastronomy is very unique and variety, zarangollo, michirones, paparajotes (the desert whit the leaf), caldo con pelotas, come back again and try more. 👌

When not at all being new to Spain and deeply devoted to the country most interesting history, it is important to have the best knowledge about each city to be sure what to prioritize in an upcoming 14 day trip to Spain. Now we know for a fact that Murcia is NOT worth a stay. No pun intended !! You've made a great video - but none of the main sights that are presented is in any way, shape or form interesting for history buffs like us. There are cathedrals in every main city and regarding food culture, there is nothing significant that makes Murcia stand out. I think we'll have another go at Cartagena instead. Much Roman remains there. And Hannibal Barca's uncle Hasdrubal founded the city.

You are both lucky in that you can eat anything-I am gluten free and also pescatarian. I think there are many options, but would have to be careful.

i hate how you pronounce the name of this wonderful city. it's múrcia, not murcía as you say. the accent is on the u, not the i. if you are doing a video on a place or a city, the least i would expect is asking some locals how the name of the place is pronounced.
