God dang it, I never thought I'd cry at a show because of a character having a sacrifice for her friends. I mean, i'm not crying i'm just sitting in a water fountain! 😔

I’m not a very emotionally expressive person, I don’t usually think too much about a character dying, even if it is supposed to hurt. But V’s death was extremely well executed. I didn’t cry, but her death actually made me feel like it. I had that odd sensation in my chest, my throat tightened, my eyes welled up a bit. As a story writer, it was the implications of her death that meant something to me. V was the face of Murder Drones since the very beginning, since the first teaser for season 1. She’s always hated Uzi, and throughout the episode, we see her warming up to her. And when she sacrificed herself to save her and the others, saying “Uzi, I trust you”, beautifully wrapped up her character development. The fact that she was willing to die to save them when in episode 1 she was a psycho murderer who appeared to only think about killing. It was amazing, beautiful, and painful. Liam did great, Glitch did great, this scene alone makes this the best episode so far, specifically because it hurts so much.

I’ve said this before, but coming from a story writer, killing off a loved character is an effective way to progress plot, build internal conflict, character development, to give your readers/viewers a reason to continue caring, and to give your characters a reason to continue fighting. But in my book, I have two specific notable characters that fit this here description. I plan to bring one of them back, because she’s the one that my readers are supposed to care more about. But the other guy will not come back because him coming back will cure my main character of all internal conflict development that he went through because of his death, and that’s something that I need to stay. Basically what I’m saying is, as a writer, I don’t think she’s coming back, as a viewer, I really want her back, and as a theorist, I can think of every way that she might come back.
