Murder Suspect Caught During Traffic Patrol

On June 8, 2023 in Florida, officers spotted a car that had been captured on surveillance footage at the scene of a brutal stabbing. An 18-year-old male had been found stabbed near a hotel, and at the time of this stop, he was still in critical condition and unable to speak with officers about what had happened. Once officers conducted a traffic stop and positively identified the driver as a possible suspect in the attack, they determined they would need to seize the car. This is footage of the events that followed. The 18-year-old would eventually pass away on June 11, 2023, and the woman would be charged with first-degree murder. The case is ongoing.

Oh there’s more than a few that don’t take any crap when they’ve directly and professionally issued an order to the suspect ONCE, and the suspect doesn’t comply. I’ve seen plenty, depending upon the police agency involved. Arkansas, Wisconsin and Texas definitely come to mind. No nonsense. Check out police cams, like Code Blue Cam and Police Insider, to see what these police do, when their arrests are featured.

They knew they were talking to a woman involved in a brutal (and eventually fatal) stabbing. She hadn't been searched yet, so who knew what she had on her--a knife, maybe? Letting her get the faintest idea that she could stick the end of her big toe over the line would be a Very Bad Idea for LEO existence without being folded, spindled or mutilated.

Agreed. It boils my blood when I see an officer repeatedly say a command or "This is the last time I'm telling you" and let it go on and on. I'm a former LEO, now retired, and it was always 3 stages for us. Ask them, tell them, then make them if needed. No lengthy drawn out bs.

Here's more background: ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - The Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of two people Wednesday for the stabbing death of a young man at a hotel last month. Just after 4 p.m. on June 3, deputies responded to the Homewood Suites on N. Alafaya Trail for reports of a stabbing.They arrived to find the victim, 19-year-old Jacob Dewitt, with a stab wound to the stomach as well as a witness who was attempting to help him. Deputies say they attempted to talk to Dewitt at the scene but he was not able to speak because of the pain. Despite surgery, Dewitt died from his injuries at the hospital on June 11. Deputies investigating the stabbing found surveillance video from the hotel that shows Dewitt meeting with someone in a white car just moments before the stabbing was reported. The video shows Dewitt walk away from the car as a man in the driver’s side and a woman in the passenger’s side get out and chase after him. The video doesn’t capture the stabbing, but shows the two suspects walk back to the car and drive away. Investigators were able to learn the suspect vehicle’s tag number and identified the owner as 21-year-old Nicole Jimenez of Lakeland. After searching the car and reviewing data from Jimenez’ phone, investigators identified the second suspect in the surveillance video as an Orlando man, 24-year-old Chad Rivera-Rohena. After reviewing more cellular data and interviewing witnesses, investigators determined Rivera-Rohena and Jimenez met with Dewitt at the Homewood Suites to sell him drugs. Deputies say Rivera-Rohena pursued Dewitt first as Jimenez followed, but both suspects participated in the deadly attack. Both suspects were booked into the Orange County jail Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder with a weapon. They’re being held there on no bond. According to the sheriff’s office, Jacob Dewitt was living at the Homewood Suites with other relatives while their family home was being built.

I beg to differ as the young murderer had her arms crossed the entire time, completely closed off, and kept a very cool demeanor even when talking about non-threatening topics such as her work. The officer is very good at her job, but a murderer will never be comfortable with a police officer bc their guilty conscience knows what they've done.

You’re wrong. She said it’s not illegal to stand over here. And she is correct. That’s common knowledge. It’s not illegal for her to talk to her dad. She was not detained, and there were no lawful commands given. I’m not taking up for her. I’m taking up for the law and the constitution because ultimately that comes first. There is no law that says you have to roll down your window when you get pulled over, and there is no law that says you have to stand here instead of there during a consensual encounter. If it was illegal, they would’ve charged her with standing on grass & talking to her dad.
