Do you have plans to design a folding bench that can be set on an incline or decline?

This thing is hilarious to put together. I can’t for the life of me make the beginning two arms even when assembling them together… Comedy skit putting this together.

What killed me was putting up stringer boards. There are no videos with step by step instructions. But after many trips to Home Depot, I got it up. It's sturdy and looking good 👍

What are your recommendations if I have a slight downward slope in my garage floor where I want to install?
@prxperformance4 жыл бұрын
Hey Matt, we offer a leveling kit to even out the uprights on sloped floors (which is essentially a square piece of rubber with double sided carpet tape). Basically anything you can find to wedge underneath the upright is going to even things out and compensate for the slope!

What is the clearance for the bottom wall brace? My garage foundation sits on a concrete slab that protrudes out about 3 to 5 inches around the perimeter of the area. I also am interested in putting the new bench adapter as well. Thank you
@prxperformance5 жыл бұрын
Hey Matt, the bottom wall bracket is flexible in regards to how high or how low you want to install it. You'll be just fine installing it above your concrete foundation. Both the Murphy Rack and Profile Folding Bench can be found on our website prxperformance.com. Let us know if you have any other questions!

In the video there is an original measurement for the height of the bottom bracket. Then towards the end, the bottom bracket is measurement is raised. Was this just an editing mistake or was there a reason for the bottom bracket height location change?
@prxperformance3 жыл бұрын
The bottom bracket of the Murphy rack can be moved on its own to different heights as this is a fold in rack, not a fold up rack! The bottom bracket height changed due to the bench install. Hopefully that helps!

How close to the wall is the upright with the bench when everything is closed?

How far is the pull-up bar from the wall? Would kipping pull-ups and muscle ups be possible?
@prxperformance4 жыл бұрын
The pullup bar sits out at 22" which is a little too close for aggressive kipping movements.

So what about the studs how far apart should I be does it matter can they be any far apart?
@prxperformance3 жыл бұрын
Install a stringer board that spans across 4 studs if you have oddly spaced studs, and you'll be able to install onto that! If you have more questions, connect with us here! prxperformance.com/pages/contact-us

Would a concrete footer cause any problems with install, as footer isn’t flush with drywall?
@prxperformance3 жыл бұрын
We would suggest building out behind the top wall bracket using 2x4 or a different stringer board to make it flush with the concrete footer, then you can install!

How did you get the two arms at the beginning level? Whenever I tighten the screws with the Allen wrench, it’s way off. I’ve emailed PRX and heard nothing from them. Such an expensive product for lackluster performance.

How far from the floor do i install the bottom bracket also the top bracket too?
@epsavoy3 жыл бұрын
The hinges had almost an inch of play in them up or down so you can possiblyslide up a quarter of an inch for Clearance

Wen I attached the uprights together both are not completely leveled. Two corners; opposite ends stick out by 1/16”. Have tried many times. Is this normal?!

Does it scratch the floor when its folded?
@prxperformance3 жыл бұрын
You can slightly lift each upright to prevent any scratching!

A shim should of been included to prevent the c-brackets from folding.

Can this be install in a apartment with concrete walls?
@prxperformance5 жыл бұрын
Hey Jose, absolutely. You will need to purchase separate hardware for concrete installation though. The hardware we provide is for standard wood stud installation. You will need 1/4" tapcons or 3/8" wedge anchors for concrete to install the wall brackets!

I have a 20 inch concrete riser in my garage. Will this be an issue when I install the wall mount?
@prxperformance5 жыл бұрын
Does the concrete riser protrude out from the wall at all or is it flush with the sheetrock?
@24racebeaver5 жыл бұрын
It is off set slightly. I was hoping I could just mount the bottom plate to the sheetrock at the 20" mark
@prxperformance5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. You can mount the bottom bracket into the studs right above the concrete riser. We recommend 50" between the two wall brackets so that should be no problem.

@@prxperformance haha just talking smack on the spelling, I watched this video about five times, solid directions. I just got the Murph rack up about two hours ago in my garage. Switched the walls up that we were going to have it on. One question though since you asked, is it pretty normal that there is some play in the pins? I wasn’t expecting a silent rack at all and I am fine with the slight play/noise in it when I rack weight but just making sure it’s not out of the norm. Thanks again for the Explination 🤙🏻
