+seidl01 Yes, taking a full swing at the ball and keeping it in. only .00001 of tennis players at the parks can do it.

+seidl01 The pros don't hit this hard in a match. It's much easier to tee off on the ball standing in the same place, when you don't care about the ball going out, and when you're hitting "rally" balls.

OK. A couple deep secrets for the one handers and wawrinka followers. 1. Two handers have more stable positions, learn to take time away, as they try to take time away from you. 2. Learn to slice really well. One handers always have a better slice naturally. 3. Be fit and move to the forehand. 4. Practice your fh moving forward for the end point. A huge fh makes your bh strategic. We all know that cross court 1h bh is nice but it doesn't win it. A huge fh after does. 5. bh = strategic/defensive, fh = weapon. If you get to wawrinka's level switch it. That's all kids.

dont have to be on wawrinka's level to attack with a backhand. it just has to be as good or better than your forehand, and good enough to beat your opponent

+cbr9927 really? It seems pretty clean / not quirky to me - particularly if you compare it to people who actually do have a weird style, such as Dolgopolov or Berasategui. Sure, there are little details of Stan's prep/timing that are slightly unusual but I'd say most of his game is quite textbook if anything. (with very good execution particularly on the one handed backhand)

If you watch the frame just before the bounce you'll see the shadow of the ball is already out past the baseline, and it hasn't even bounced yet. The frame of the ball/ground contact is missing which makes it look like it bounced in, happens all the time as well.

I think she was saying Stan makes a lot of mistakes & Murray is faster than Wawrinka in terms of movement I think she meant this as that time Wawrinka had only won 1 Aus open & Murray was considered in the big 4, the warm up rally Murray was hitting heavier balls with more quality compared to Stan but it was nullified when stan started hitting heavier after the warm up rallys. What I conclude is that don't take the woman srsly (No offense to the ma'am)

Yes Wawrinka's 1 hand backhand is phenomenal, but two hand backhands can be equally as effective. Using a 1 hand backhand doesn't make you a "real man" aesthetically it looks better of course but quality is always more important, and both can create great quality shots.
