Not really a fair comparison, the gt is comparable to the r/t 345 and the Gt350 or Mach 1 depending on year is comparable to the 392. Of which, the gt350, Mach 1, and now the new dark horse all have standard tremec manuals so that “glass transmission” joke doesn’t really hold water

One thing a challenger needs more than anything is 370 or 390 gears and the conversation will be different.. I would still choose the mustang but I know what that mopar can do.

I've owned 3 Mustangs, a Trans Am, and 2 Corvettes. Honestly, Coyote S550 5.0 is a great car, but it truly did lose its pony car look and went sports car like the Corvette is. For the money, it's about what you want a 1/4 mile out the box race car Challenger or a corner carver Mustang. Both great machines.

Muscle cars are heavy, they didnt have sport mode, they weren’t meant to be “track” cars. And I do have to say mustang did shift the focus of the mustang to a sleeker design. But it’s starting to look more and more like a sports car.

Scat Pack looks better, but too boaty, more expensive and less reliable. And they both have about the same power to weight so I would go for the Stang

Challenger looks the best even some mustang guys can agree that chargers and challenger look the best especially with widebody kit but mustangs are better handling cars and they respond to mods better

I love them both. They are both great. The Challenger still looks like an old style muscle car. It's a thing of beauty. Like the Great White Shark, it's never needed to evolve. The Challenger has much more low end torque and will throw you back in your seat better. The Challenger is big and better for adventuring with friends because it has more space and a usable back seat. The Mustang is awesome too. The Mustang GT is faster at the top end. The Challenger Scat has the torque, but the Mustang GT will catch and pass it every time if the driver is decent. I've raced five Scats. I've beaten five Scats. The Mustang is smaller, lighter, and maneuvers much better. That really comes into play when you need to park in tight places. The Mustang also has better visibility outwards in all directions. There is no such thing as which is better than the other. They are both great. They have different strengths and weaknesses, so you pick the one that is best for your needs and wants.

I like them both and honestly I had my heart set on like a 2016-2017 charger. SRT392 it without a doubt in my opinion looks sexier than the mustang. I like the bigger displacement. I like that it's four-door so I can still have my fun. Be bad you know what and still like tow my family around in it. I was very much lean towards that car over a mustang until I went to ensure one. My insurance was going to go up $375 a month for the charger because they considered it a high-risk vehicle. The mustang it went up $140. That was the deciding factor for me for a $400 a month car payment for the charger and then almost $400 a month for insurance that what car would have costed me $800 a month and when you're on a budget you have a family blue collar job. You cannot afford $800 a month. The mustang $300 a month 140 insurance $440 almost half the cost to ensure and own

If they want to do canyon carving, neither car would win. IF that’s how you want to race, go Camaro or a vett. Muscle car with a big motor all day would be dodge. The coyotes are no joke with that 10sp! But they did go more euro style in the sports car world. Camaro is that in between car that is sadly going away. I’m a sucker for corvette, but if I don’t get one then it’ll be a mustang.

Straight line racing is not my thing. I just loved to get to point A to B really fast 130mph is really slow for the curvy road and my R/T is doing just fine. Average mustang driver are scared to test the capability of their mustang. Someone passed me with their mustang in a backroad and regretted it. They literally followed me to my house to make sure my car is stock lol. I told them to never let me pass them or else, I'm gone. My car is debadged and the 2022 looks like a srt. But let me drive a mustang and that R/T will never know where I live. The low end torque of an RT is great on those curvy back road and its really fun as well. Just make sure bambi is not around though. Because my car seen a collision repair shopped before even getting its first oil change😅😅😅. Love to have the three brand in my garage someday.

Guess what mustwang boys, I put my BRAND NEW ( only had it 2 days) 2023 Challenger 1320 through some SIGNIFICANT twisties yesterday, in STANDARD mode, and it's handling abilities left me shocked ( in a very good way) amazed, and downright giddy at how well this "boat" handled! Stuck like glue with minimal body lean and ZERO issues with me driving it . Speed limit on this short but quite twisty section was about 35 mph, I was doing 60+ with no problem. No BS, just the facts.

Challenger 392 blows the 5.0 aka 307 c.i Mustang away.. Challenger is a real car,you can fit people in the back..Mustang is a bigger girl car aka Miata! Majority of Mustang buyers are female! Like the original in 64 its a secretary car as it was intended to be! Challenger drives smoother,more comfortable and looks and performs better.. 392 Hemi is the most powerful n/a engine around! Plus 11.75 NHRA certified 1/4 mile blows the Mustwang away! Mustang is over 3800 lbs Challenger is 4200 lbs,heavier is better,better ride higher top speed and a rear seat for adults not midget adults!
