The TENSOR FASCIA LATAE muscle in 3D:)
👉 It's located at the anterolateral part of the thigh.
👉 It belongs to the muscles of the gluteal region (gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus).
👉 It connects to the outer lip of the anterior iliac crest, anterior superior iliac spine, and the lateral condyle of the tibia through the iliotibial tract.
👉 It's in charge of hip internal rotation, and also assists in hip abduction and flexion.
👉 When the thigh is fixed it's responsible for anterior pelvic tilt, and in unilateral contraction - lateral pelvic tilt.
