Matt Bellamy is indeed a fan of Tom Morello and they know each other. Tom Morello once joined Muse on stage for Bellamy's birthday, playing the solo of the song Break it to me.

That’s right at etihad stadium in Manchester- I was there! I was also at their London gig a week beforehand, flew over from Ireland for both gigs 🥰🥰🥰

Don't forget Matt writes all this stuff too! I am not ashamed to admit I am 69 yrs old. I have seen soloists, bands, from Jimi Hendrix when I was 14 to Rod Stewart in 2019 with countless big names in between. I have seen Muse live 3 times and rate them joint top with Hendrix, a legendary guitarist who died much too young.

Tom Morello has come out and played a solo with Muse. They love each other :) Tom is a huge influence to Matts playing.

Matt is a fan of Tom Morello and Tom supported Muse in their 2019 Stadium tour and played onstage with them in Manchester I think.

Matt started playing music on the piano actually, long before he started playing guitar. He is however not classically trained and cant read music. Also in 2009 they made an 13 minute long mini symphony, so they're definitely multi talented EDIT: also yeah he is a big fan of Rage against the Machine, plus they did one of their songs in the outro of this performance

same here. David Tenant is a mesmerising actor and Matt Bellamy an enthralling musician. I cannot contain my pleasure at their performances and how aesthetically pleasing they are to me. their love of their craft is evident in all that they do and I can't absorb enough of anything that they produce. even if it's something I never thought I'd appreciate they make it my new obsession.

For instance, regarding songs Citizen Erased, with its emotion, power, dynamics, beauty and overall composition, is objectivity an absolute musical masterpiece, even if you don't like the style.

This is despite having mainstream audience/fan base, of course. But Muse should be consensual like Queen or Led Zeppelin and, as of today's, they're not. They deserve to be there, but of course this is not an issue for them haha

I’m in my 60’s and have seen many bands including Led Zep, Queen, Bowie, ELO, Thin Lizzy…, But Muse are the best live band I’ve ever seen.

Do it bud, i have seen a few bands but live Muse is without doubt the best for me, i can't really explain it it just feels strangely intense and emotional, leave you feeling drained, but in a great way.

Yep, that's Matt multitasking Bellamy and he's a massive RATM/Morello fan. He's as good playing piano as he's on guitar, imo. He's a classical dude and most of their songs are influenced by composers like Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Berlioz, Lizst, etc. Some other heavy piano-based songs to check out are Piano Thing, Space Dementia (Pinkpop 2004), Butterflies and Hurricanes (amazing piano solo, Wembley 2007 version too) or Exogenesis (3-part symphony).

That Wembley concert was one of the best! I just wish it had some of their songs they put out since then - what a concert that would be! I was lucky enough to see them do their Drones concert in Seattle years ago and it was massively awesome. Thanks for all the Must and Dimash reactions. Love them both.

Fun fact: Matt Bellamy did not want to be a singer. In the early stages of their musical journey they were actually looking for a fourth person to join the band and do the vocals, but they couldn't find anyone good enough, so in the end Matt agreed to sing on top of everything else he did. One of the reasons why he didn't want to do the vocals was he believed his voice was not suitable for a rock band. Boy was he wrong...

Massive respect for you man for sharing this👏💥 I already know about this, but i'm pretty sure not so many muser's know about this fact.. Coz i never found any youtuber telling this even on their biographic this fact never on the writing in every of thier bio from any website.. Then, matt decide to be their singer he make jeff buckley as his model of his vocal style and jimi hendrix dancing with guitar live act as his role model from his preference on the stage.. Also tom morello guitar sound technic.. In 2019, on the Simulation Theory tour, Tom Morello supported and then joined Matt on stage for one of the Muse tracks, and it was incredible! ... safe to say he's a fan!

Lee, I suggest you see Muse play Muscle Museum at Shepherd’s Bush Empire from 2017 for an example of the energy created in a smaller venue and crowd participation. The title of the song comes from the words which come before and after Muse in the dictionary.

by the way in 2019 in Manchester, Tom Morello accompanied Matt at the end of the song "Break It To Me". but he has also brought other invited like The Edge and Brian Johnson

I just binge watched all your muse reactions ha. My all time favourite band.. and weirdly I fell for them the same way you did, discovered and fell "into the rabbit hole" haha. On the album resistance they done a trio of songs - exogenesis 1, 2 and 3. There is a KZfaq vid where all 3 can be played back to back. All vert different, but I'd argue its the epitome of his song writing skills! Look forward to that eventually reaction 😊

Matt is fan of good music. Tom Morello and he gives credit to all of them and hes taking it from everybody and wraping in his own making with guys together. Tom Morello also appeared on Wembley or Manchester along side Matt. Check it out.

I never noticed it before, but you are right. Matt Bellamy does look similar to David Tenant... actually it's kind of like if you mashed David Tenant and Chris Eccleston's faces together haha. Honestly I think they may be the best live band I have ever had the pleasure of seeing, and I've seen some elaborate stage performances from the likes of Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, just to name a few. Muse have that classic rock icon feel that is almost non-existent nowadays. Bellamy has that Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend, Freddie Mercury kind of presence

Morello was supporting and came on briefly with Muse at a gig I went to at City of Manchester Stadium in 2018. Not sure if Morello was supporting the whole tour or just at that venue. I think it's fair to say Matt Bellamy's a fan and is influenced by R.A.T.M. in some aspects
