President Museveni,having seen the choas caused by sectarianism, based on religion and tribes from 1960 and even earlier, decided to discourage chaplain and other religious leaders in the military.The result is that Uganda military is one of the most patriotic and professionals globally.The positive testaments of international observers on Uganda peace-keeping mission, affirmed these statements of patriotism and professionalism of the Uganda military. These are the reforms introduced by President Museveni NRM government that made a Ugandan to say that his father told him that Uganda was built and in my view, still being built by President Museveni NRM government. Also, it is in adherence to these statements that Ugandans in their thousands working in the diaspora have remained at peace with their host countries.
