As we get further into climate change it will be interesting to see mushrooms fruiting at different times then what we normally see. Also maybe we might find mushrooms uncommon to our area now and then. I wonder what is fruiting now in the rain forest. I need to get off of my big but and go take a look. Recently I have only been hunting turkey tail close to home as my little sister was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.

Do you ever run into any wild animals on your hikes?

I caught some really nice wizard hat-like hybrids ..outside the local supermarket, another slightly different morphology, was elegantly poised under an urban supermarket cart. The Wiz hats were dried pink and cream colour on top, with purplish gills. None looked like "Gallerina-cybes" ..potentially unsafe hybrids. There were also grassland coprinus species, hybridised ..again.
