These folks are so lucky to have an opportunity to spend tie in the woods with you. I would be honored to do the same. I have done something like that, and it is a great memory. I found some morels that day.

Aaron, you’re awesome! I love your channel, and so enjoy the broadening of my horizons it gives me! A great blend of casual and down to earth communication with a complex subject that is accurate and scientific, accessible to everyone and fun to watch. It makes me want to join a mycological society out here in the east! If I was ever on the west coast, I’d want to look you up! I share your channel with nature buffs all the time! Great information!

That was a very very nice photo of a true candy cap!❤❤❤ you actually threw away the good one! You should have had them see that it was an almond milk color, as well as smell like wet playdough. I also say they came in thin and thick hollow stems. Let them dry and smell them next week❤❤

You have a good eye! That photo was of a real candy cap, the one I was holding was Lactarius luctulucens, a very close look-alike, of which I could not find my photo of, so in its place I uploaded a picture of an actual candy cap just to show the genus lactarius. Most people wouldn't have spotted that it was the real artifact, good eye 🍄

Thanks again Aaron, its been another crap year here in Ireland with the weather but one thing i have to say is there are loads of hedgehog mushrooms here and they're massive like over half a foot, you're right they really are one of the best.

Even though I'm not friends or family or a Kitsap resident, I would love to go on a mushroom hunt with you if you're ever looking for more noobs to mentor. Or, if you're open to foraging in Island , Skagit, or Snohomish counties - I'd really love that!

I would love a more detailed segment on Winter Chantrelles vs. Golden Chantrelles. Found one variety of them in Tillimook in the woods, about .25 from the beach, over TG break.

The group-spit activity could be the selling point for your forays. And here’s an idea for a new t-shirt, “always spit, never swallow”
