Riding the Music City Star round trip on the Nashville And Eastern Railroad out of Nashville Tennessee. Watch a 2nd passenger train pass us on the return trip with my view at the leading end from a perfect vantage point! Riding the train views on this heavy rail passenger and freight route. Branch line railroading on a short line railroad in Midwest America! We stayed at the historic Union Station in downtown Nashville for 2 nights at $350 a night on the top floor corner view facing the railroad yard. I saw some awesome switching and shunting action. Very nice video! The Star is certainly a great little operation, as is the short line they run on. When I saw them for the first time back in August it was just so great to hear and see former Amtrak F40's again!

Love this! Im in Chicago, Its great to see our ex-Metra coaches helping with your service. I hope the MCS is successful and expands. I also hope to visit my old train cars one day! :) I rode these very cars in Metra service A few are still running in Metra service today!

Thank you very much! That is really awesome that you rode these same cars. I really enjoyed riding them. The lady selling the tickets was telling me it wasn't a scenic train ride and it was just for commuters. I felt like I was talking her into selling me a round trip ride. It was fun. lol

Awesome video. I've been a Nashville native pretty much my whole life and I've never ridden this train. I've seen it in route to Mt. Juliet a few times though.

cool vedio we were just in green vill and Powell Tennessee it was a fun trip just got two train vedios a and one at a place in the great smoky moutains by the way the part of the vedio were you are in the back of the train looks all most like you got a cab ride

There are a lot of cool railroads in the east for you. I have a passenger train video that I am working on that shows over a dozen different passenger trains in the east. shure i like it,yes yes,i am verry happy to see that,and yor video intro,coooool.wat a diferend interieur insire the dubbel dekker wagon,here is it mutch lower in the "VIRM"wagon.i send you 1 picture from that.and the track was almost new,welded rails,wooow,you dont see that so mutch there,most nails.lol.they gonna laern now how to build a railroad.lol.

Very cool JawTooth! I went took a trip to Nashville and went railfanning for a few hours one afternoon near where the train station is located. Also, the last time I was there, there were a couple Via-Rail Passenger Cars left on a ledge next to a parking lot not far from the train station, you might want to check it out if you like.

I saw them. I stayed 2 nights at the Union Station on the top floor and watched trains from the room. There were some other rail cars there also that were used for offices or something.

I know, I use to live there. I lived on Waller Ave in the 8 story building 2 doors down from the railroad crossing. I use to watch trains from my living room window and bedroom window.

Jaw Tooth I a 5-10 minute walk from the main line, if I went to the safe location, if I went to the unsafe location, which is under the Man O War bridge, it's like a 2 minute walk. I hear them all day and all night.
