I'm not a lyrics person either, but I do think for this song it's really important to know what it's about. My blurb on Memorable - I think to fully appreciate this song, it helps to have been a maidiac for a while, and see, starting with the 2020 cancellation of what would have been the band's biggest show ever, how the diehard maidiacs, combined with the huge work ethic of the band, managed to keep their momentum up during a time where other bands would have had to just fold up the shop and call it quits. These ladies have worked their rear ends off not just to make incredible music, but to connect with their fans at every possible turn. Every other song has a sing along part - there's Miku's magic time in the shows, and even the fact that they didn't try to police reaction videos - in fact, they wisely welcomed them as they realized the value of spreading the word about the band. There is the uplifting, smile inducing and inspirational nature of their music and lyrics, which kept many of our spirits up during a really crap couple of years. Then there is their humility. More than once during interviews band members have said that they won't quite believe their shows sold out until they see us in person - will we really come, they wondered...and then they came. And they were hit by a massive tsunami of love at every single show. I am in my sixties and have been to a ton of concerts, and have never witnessed this level of back and forth emotion during a show. i've said elsewhere that when I put my earplugs in at their show, it was because of how loud the cheering from the crowd was, and I've never experienced that before. This must have been overwhelming to them as they played for us,. I've been on stage playing in front of people before, and there's a high you get when things go well that you just can't get with anything else. This song is their message back to us that yes, they felt it all - big time. And that they love us back

This was a song dedicated to the US fasn who support them and also to those who went to their tour last year (it was written while they were touring). That includes us man.

Really pleased that you picked up on the drums. It took me several listens until I heard therm clearly having been lost in Miku's backing vocals But those drums were just brilliant and added a layer of emotion I wasn't expecting. They are so good at fitting the jigsaw together until the perfect picture is produced. Not sure many bands are around that I can play the same track over and over and always find something new to appreciate.

I have watched 10 different reactions to this song, and every person finds and points out something different and interesting each time. There really is so much to find in it. As always, amazing composition and execution by the Maids. And it is a little extra special if you went to one of the US concerts last year, knowing when Saiki sings "I dream about your smile," she means you! 😊 (I'm convinced she made eye contact with every single person at each show last year. I went to 3 of them.)

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard this one, very different from their normal style. I was scared it was gonna be just a ‘pop-song for the masses” but they definitely retained the intricacies and musicianship! Really great 👍🏾

I completely agree with your statement: "The amount of notes is just perfect. No one is overplaying, the groove is locked up, everything is here (gestures) and everyone understands their role perfectly." Sometimes I get pulled away by other obligations and come back to Band-Maid with fresh ears. I'm impressed again and again and again with how good they really are. This song was written during their October tour because they were extremely gratified by how they were received by the American audiences.

the composition is reminiscent of kotzen-era mr big ballads -- intimate and earnest. but this is coincidental. mincho-zilla mentioned in an interview that she's refrained from listening to other music actively so as to create something that isn't from influence.

So glad the engineers left the sound of Miku's fingers squeaking on the strings. So honest. A lot of engineers take those sounds out of the mix. Such a beautiful love letter to their fans after the US tour. The Maids sincerely love us all. As we love them.
