Solange was the actual writer of the song. Back then she was writing majority of the lyrics for Destiny's Child.❤❤❤

Not gonna lie, I was really hoping they would get Chloe & Bailey for the new theme song. Two Black women that are sisters just feels right for the song, just like Beyoncé and Solange

This is exactly what I imagined for the new theme song. I imagine Chole and Halle harmonising on the track just like in the old theme song. However Joyce has a beautiful voice too and think she’s done a good job can’t wait to hear the full song

To be honest I don’t think they should’ve changed it I think the interesting part about it is that the members of Destiny’s Child Beyoncé Kelly and Michelle and also Solange are more iconic and well-known now than they ever were when they actually recorded the original song I think it would’ve been amazing and a lot of their fans are actually tuning in just because they know that they have a part in making this show such an iconic show

It definitely still retains the nostalgic feeling of the original theme while making it sound fresher, sassier, newer in the sense that it's reintroducing itself to a new generation while calling back to the generation who grew up with the show back in 2005/2006. I can't wait to hear it in February!!! 😆😆😂😂

I'm so glad that Disney is bringing back my childhood show. We need more Black representation on Disney. I'm grateful that I was born in 2000. I grew up in one of the best decades! Hopefully the remake of the show and theme song will satisfy!

I wish they will bring back Kim Possible as well, the live action was kinda pretty bad. They made Kim as a soccer player rather than a cheerleader. Christy Carlson Romano will surely like it.

I think a lot of us are coming to the realization that a lot of the shows that are out now aren’t geared towards our generation anymore (90’s babies) . With that being said , the fact that the creators , producers , etc. , put forth the effort to make sure that the new generation AND the ones who grew up on the original series , are accommodated, means a lot 🙌🏾. Not only are they paying attention , but it seems like they actually love what they do and it’s showing in the quality and nostalgia of the show . Well done guys 👍🏾. Can’t wait to see the finished product 🤗

Can you explain what you mean when you say that shows aren’t geared towards your generation anymore ? Also we can’t really get what generation you’re from when you say 90s babies. A decade doesn’t determine a whole generation. The NEW generation is currently 0-12 years old.

I will miss sticky though. I would have liked to see what would have happened to him and Dijonay. Maybe Dijonay would have realized they wouldn’t have happened and decided to remain good friends. Anyway, super excited to see a part of childhood comeback. I feel like we need more of this nowadays in these rough times.🙂❤️💖👍🏻

I waited for this moment for 17 years !!! I was a toddler watching proud family!!! In today’s times I only subscribed to Disney plus to watch proud family and that’s so raven!!! When kyla posted to her Instagram I felt like crying 😭 I’m to excited about this !!! Thank you guys

I love how the animation gives a feel of the old one however I wish they would've changed Penny's hairstyle to something more adult like. Also I really wanted Dijonay to get rid of that crop top and have on a longer one as well as change her hairstyle

Nah I don’t like it I honestly think that they should have just switched up the beat and kept Solange and Destiny’s Childs vocals. Like added more 808s to the track and a melody that goes with Solange new sound heck they could have used a beat from one of Solange’s track Eg Junie or Mad and had her and Destiny’s Child’s vocals over them

Nope. Why can't we enjoy this one and appreciate the consistency of how they kept the OG song. Like u can hear the chorus of destiny's child when it gets to the "Proud Family" part while this new singer(A fan of the OG series and music) singing along with it. It's amazing

This is my only social media type thing, KZfaq.Off topic - I do not know if this mssg. will ever make it to whoever was responsible for the second episode of Boba Fett. The Tusken Raiders ALWAYS bothered me. ( it's a sound/speech thing. Went right through me and they seemed barbaric.) I LOVE them and the story told (I paused it. I'm at the celebration staff dance around the fire right now). 1977 I was there in line for the first movie down town in my home city. I am still the student and have long since accepted this. Tonight I am learning of a people with honor and tradition. Tonight I am once again in this long life of mine humbled once again. Wonderful, beautiful, moving and entertaining as always. The people handling the stories of Star Wars with the mandalorian and several of the story arcs and moments in the animated series ECT. I just really want to thank you for ever expanding and bringing one of my favorite Universes closer to my heart and breathing life into peoples and customs that can translate to real life easier than we'd like to admit, reminding us we are and always have been, One. Humble Thanks again✨

I’d much rather it be Destiny’s child with Solange again , they never disappoint or even Chloe and Halle. They couldn’t afford them I guess

Please Chloe and Halle would’ve done it for free. That’s how much of an honor they would see it as. Guess they just wanted Joyce instead.

@@AGEE_95 It seems like they did a good job keeping the show at it roots . That however was a bad move this new girl just don’t have enough soul and we don’t know her

@@jaybands9029 I’m honestly glad they didn’t bring back Destiny’s Child. The show is gonna be nostalgic enough, without having the same exact theme song to start it off. It would just feel like trying too hard to give the audience those nostalgic feelings, instead of letting this new version stand on its own. I’ve never listen to Joyce’s music so I’m not gonna assume that it doesn’t have soul. I can tell that she can really sing though and her voice does kind of have a similar quality to it, that reminds me of Destiny’s Child when they sang the song. I’ll reserve judgement until after I’ve heard the entirety of it, but it feels a little dramatic to say that choosing her to sing it, was a bad move. It’s not gonna derail the whole show or be the thing to make it good, if it turns out to just be average compared to the original. If she winds up doing a good job with the song, whether I know her or not, I’ll give her, her props because I don’t think that really matters. I just see it as a passing of the torch to someone else who grew up on this show.

@@AGEE_95 If it was gonna be the same exact theme song why would they need to bring them back when they could just use the old audio . Obviously I’m saying they should’ve remixed it , not get in the studio and sing the same exact song see how dumb that sounds? Plus this was mainly about Chole and Halle idk why you latching so deep into destiny’s child. I just don’t think Joyce’s voice is a good fit and once again we don’t know her. Everyone knows Chloe and Halle. Plus this is a black show they might as well had a white girl sing the theme song . I’d rather them have Kelly sing it by herself.Plus it’s not about making a new version the whole point is to keep that same nostalgic feelings this is a continuation not a reboot imagine how much it would upset fans if they didn’t keep it nostalgic. How can a continuation of an old show try to hard to be nostalgic? That’s not even a thing

I seen this coming same thing happened with the that's so raven spin off proud family is a robot for this new stage of kids so of course us 90s babies are gonna be used to the old intro but this is for new ppl to come along and shine let them shine
