You said he is a gift from god, thats exactly what his surname Kudaibergen means. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100% and has just started his PhD. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is on a solo world tour tight now and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. The other comments have already told you much about Dimash. But if someone didn't already say it, he plays multiple instruments and sings in something like 12 different languages. He's been training since the age of 5, has a Master's degree in music, and is now working on his doctorate, when not touring the world giving solo concerts. He sold out in New York a year ago, in his first U.S. concert, but has been sensational success in China, Europe, Russia, etc for several years before we in the United States got to see him. I became Dimishified only recently and am sad I didn't see him last year. But he's holding an online concert on January 16th. Google it, tickets are cheap and some of the proceeds go to charity. Like so many other people, I have to say that after listening to Dimash, I now find most other singers boring in comparison, especially pop artists. It's not just Dimash's range and technical skill, it's his ability to touch your soul. Plus he's reportedly a very kind, respectful, and decent young man. Dimash is like no other. He is my favorite male artist. If you want to be blown away again, check out Diana Ankudinova. I'm not, nor will I ever compare her to Dimash, but, she is in a way equally impressive in my opinion. She is my favorite female vocalist. Check out her cover of "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaac.
