Angelina sang this at 13, and it was a cover of Whitney. This time, we’re getting it in Angelina’s voice that’s not following Whitney’s iconic original. Angelina, as you noted, was always great, but the depth of tone and resonance we get now is stunning. And unlike her earlier version, she is at ease even through sustained belting and all the vocal dynamics. This isn’t a cover-this is Angelina singing it her way, and it’s a flawless vocal combination of beauty and power. Also, you’re right about the videos. Since Angelina signed with Republic Records, the videos are so classy and elegant, many in b&w, deliberately giving us old school memories of great singers. You must, must watch her recent video of Suspicious Minds. Amazing vocals and visuals-and the girl with 1,000 voices again gives us something we never expected-but just stunningly beautiful.

This performance is beyond belief, the cinemaphotography, the ART, and this time we get to savor over 4 minutes of total bliss, no one is capable of doing this song justice like Angelina Jordan. David Foster and Linda Thompson, who co-wrote this ballad for Whitney Houston would be blown away by this performance.

Whitney was in her late 20s with she sang this, which is really amazing for Angelina to cover it so well at her current age. She's also singing it in a lower key, which works well highlighting her beautiful lower register.

I'd say Angelina has been "what you termed (PLAYING) for a bit now😉. Her rendition of I Put A Spell On You is a great example of her just singing with total abandon, using every "toy" (your word) but for me the ornaments she experiments with, her phrasing, breathing mastery, etc. etc. demonstrated at a very early age she intends to be fearless, challenging her voice to produce what she hears in her head and FEELS in her heart... Excellent analysis! Angelina did a very good rendition of this ultimate diva song at 13. At 16, she is back doing it as a master. It was Whitney’s song for the 1990’s, but it is Angelina’s for the 2020’s.

She changed the key to this song, but does it really matter as long as she has the ability to give each word, or phrase, meaning like no one else in this universe can. How can she evoke such emotion in each and every performance? Why do I get chills, or cry tears, or lose my breath when Angelina sing a song that I have experienced many times in the past without this happening? If this feeling only happened to me that would be ok, but it happens to billions of people. We play these videos of AJ over, and over again to get our high. Here is the problem...everything you said was spot on. However, we as fans cant get enough of her. Unfortunately, right now the average age of Angelina fans is deceased (just a joke) and we (I said we) are not a very secure group...time is not on our side. We all know in our hearts "SHE WILL BLOW UP", the hard part in my opinion it should be sooner than later. Adele started blowing up at 17 (name of her first album). Angelina's social media is ok (not great, just ok... She does not do any live stuff with fans), but she needs to pump out her first album soon. She, even at 16-1/2, has more experience than most have by 30. of course, I say this all with respect to her entire group. Great review!
