I’ve seen this video many times. I know very little about the guitar. I’m still in awe that she can remember all the damn notes. Not to mention the speed and clarity of what she is playing. She is unreal and I’m so sad she stopped uploading her videos. I like to think she is performing in France for small crowds in very intimate settings.

I don't think we'll ever hear of her again and that she just may have stopped playing - just because there was nothing to learn for her anymore. With modern-day social media, we would have known if she'd still been active as a guitar player.

You wouldn't know it by looking at the comments on her videos now but she was driven off of youtube by the "purists". There were SO many nasty comments on her videos about this and that that I am not surprised that she quit. (doing classical music a disservice) (that isn't metal) all kinds of nasty hateful comments. I just wish that she would come back despite all of that. The internet was a nasty place then and I'd like to think that it's gotten better. I do know one thing for sure, the internet would be a better place with her on it.

@@patinho5589 I don't know....I've played the violin for almost 60 years. Memorizing is a static thing --- happens to some of us but not to all of us. The key is practicing, a lot of practicing. I think my ADD hindered how much memorizing I could do, so watching her memorize this piece is absolutely stultifying and mesmerizing. I can't even begin to imagine how she (or anyone else who can memorize such complex and difficult pieces) is doing it.

This is a copy of the arrangement by Dr. Viossy. There's even a split-screen stereo version KZfaq showing them both playing it. It seems that they used the same rhythm and drum backing tracks. And even the lead lines they play are almost identical, with all but a few notes being simultaneous enough to sound like they're centered.

@@brandoncrimmins6296 just about 30 years more experience and training for Viossy and playing his own arrangement? :) Someone should ask him if he would have been able to play this thing when he had her age? :D
@brandoncrimmins6296
@brandoncrimmins6296 2 жыл бұрын
@@alexiserni1152 Whatever the reason… His version is better. There are songs she does that I prefer to the original. This just isn’t one of them. Anyone can see he’s older and far more experienced. So I’m not sure why you felt the need to point that out. There are child prodigies on every instrument. And usually they get the notes right, but lack the feeling the experience of life gives an artist. Not always but usually… So I’m not sure why it would be valid if he could play this at her age. Especially when she wouldn’t be playing it at her age without HIM having arranged it and making it so popular that her teacher told her to learn it…
@BrindleChase
@BrindleChase 2 жыл бұрын
@@alexiserni1152 Are you saying age is more important than the arrangement? Should Beethoven hang his head in shame because some 17 year old learned to play one of his compositions because he was older when he wrote it? No one is saying Tina did anything less than amazing. But credit to Dr. Viossy is due.
@alexiserni1152
@alexiserni1152 2 жыл бұрын
@@BrindleChase I never said or stated that Tina's version is better. I just pointed out that obviously Viossy's take is perfect, because you can't buy 30+ years of experience and training. And that probably almost none of the experienced players would have been able to put it down in the rate/quality Tina did at the same age. And this opinion does in no way affect or hurt credit to Viossys incredible playing.

So I had to revisit this after geeking out over tempo and velocity. Best I could tell, the tempo was about 176 bpm. That means the 16th notes of her fast picking runs were only 46 milliseconds apart. Which sort of explains why her right hand is just a blur through those sections. Then you marvel over the fact that during those 46ms runs her wrist was free floating as it is through much of the piece. And on top of that the insane coordination it takes to move, fret, and pick every 46ms. Caveat, the 176 bpm is a best match by ear. It did seem to vary between about 168 and 176 at times. Finally, I *think* I got the math right. But, second caveat, it may have been influenced by some Delta-8. IYKYK
