This one is crazy good. The phrasing, timing, inflections and stage presence at 10 and a half years old. But wait!.......She did this song again with an even better full orchestra months later about 2 weeks before turning 11 and it shows how much she matured in that short time span. You may want to react to it as well but if not you will be even more impressed, I promise! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pp6bdK9e2K2uqGw.html Angelina had a lot of great covers at 10, some which are better than the originals, imo. Here is "EVERY TIME WE SAY GOODBYE" at a TV station in Oslo just before leaving for the States: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbiDfJt50rqsenU.html You tell me if you've ever heard a better version Take care and Merry Christmas from Florida

Bob, Angelina has some wonderful original songs. I don't remember if you reacted to them. A million miles , age 14, a sad but hopeful ballad dedicated to the loss of her grandfather 7th Heaven, age 15, a snappy upbeat jazz song about never giving up on your dreams Shield, age 12 a haunting and dramatic James Bond vibe. Dedicated to her family who have protected her over the years Oslo, age 12, a classic ballad dedicated to her home country What is life, written at 11 and performed at 12, a soft melodic ballad with a piano jazz bar feel about the outlook on life from an 11-year-old. Her first original. Any one of these, I would go for music video or live versions.

@@frankphillips5660, Agree, I like the other version much better, and it has way more views and likes. Another thing to point out, this was made famous by Nina Simone's cover in 1965 of the original done in 1964. Nina was actually the third person to perform it, and Michael Buble was way down the line.

Bob, there is no end to the accolades this young performer deserves. Yes, her soulful voice with a touch of jazz (what???) is, or course, mind blowing. But, like you rightfully pointed out, her artistic decisions are way, way beyond her years. And, Bob, she has been rearranging classics such as this since she was 9 years old! She plays several instruments enough to understand what every instrument in the band (and even the orchestra when one is involved!) is capable of contributing what she wants in her arrangement (what???). Bob, only one man's opinion, but to me there is no one like her, past or present. Strong statement, of course. But, I'm also taking into consideration of what kind of a beautiful human being she is, as well. I'm sure you know the shoe story by now. And, lastly, the most intriguing element to be recognized is that she has no barriers as to who likes to hear her sing. Gender, age, color, nationality, language, musical preference, religion, makes no difference. Not only is everyone in awe of what she can do but she also touches people's hearts to such a degree they cannot explain exactly how they feel. The goosebumps, the tearing up (with an urge to full out cry) and the inability to string words together to make intelligent sentences all are indications her love has touched a listener's heart and, once there, it will never leave. Bob, there's even more but I'll leave it at that for now. "Merry Christmas" to you and yours and enjoy the Holiday Season.

Thanks again for an absolutely GREAT reaction to this vocal and musical force of nature, the genius, the prodigy that is Angelina Jordan. I think it's fair to say that there probably is no one like her in the world today. I would just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE if you would react some more to her, a little more frequently, to set you up as much as possible for her upcoming album (her first after signing with Republic Records in 2020) next year. I think you have understood by now that she is something REALLY special and that she is worthy of every reaction and comment we can master. She has the potential to fill in a whole lot in today's musical "landscape", where quality has taken a definite backseat and backstep. Did you know that Angelina also writes her own music? So far she has released 5 originals, and they are all exceptionally beautiful IMO. I would love to give you a suggestion for a song she wrote at age 13 to her grandfather who had recently died. The song is called "Million Miles" and Angelina also dedicates the song to anyone who has lost a loved one. I would suggest you react to her black and white studio recording, performed at age 14. One of my favorite performances of hers. She has another great performance of this song with a better band behind her (strings and a horn section) but I think her vocal performance is better in this one, and the other performance is hard to top. My higher opinion of this performance is based on her having just a bit more jazz inflection in some of the lyrics and of course the crescendo at the end is even more impressive in this performance than it is in the other one, and while the other was incredible, she holds this one just a bit longer.

Hi, Bob. Yes, she's an intentional vocal artist. I love how she takes her time with the intro. She takes her time with that final buildup, too. I also appreciate how she never seems like she is forcing performance. I watched a video of a talented younger child singer and she was forcing the cute girl projection, forcing the expression of happiness, and even over singing. I've not witnessed this yet in anything Angelina has done. She delivers power and "wow," but it is never forced or gimmicky. It contributes to her being one of the most satisfying artists I've ever experienced. If her album tour comes to Seattle or Portland, I am so much going to try hard to attend with my husband. @@dojoswitzer For the past couple of years, Angelina has been using her breath like its own instrument. Sometimes inserted into negative space, sometimes acting as note, always to add colour and emotion. Purists would scoff at it being bad technique. But we all know that Angelina doesn't do bad technique. Most singers or their producers would have the breath sounds removed in post production. I happen to think it's part of Angelina's interest in lo-fi music (which she expressed in a recent interview). If you listen at about 1:57 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n75gmpxqz7SWZok.html I thinks it's easy to glean that she doesn't need all those breaths. Yet they're deliberate and, in my mind, they add to the performance; not detract.

Angelina is unique in that she was listening to jazz and blues while still in the womb. Her first language is music First recorded singing at 18 months of age Is seen scrolling through KZfaq at two going on three looking for Jazz artists to listen to for hours. Told her mother at age three we wanted to sing on that Simon show. Enters school at four. After school program finds her taking music, piano, violin and flute. By five she is studying music theory and is speaking three languages. She is reading Norwegian and English. At five she tells her mother she wants to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert At five she tried to audition for Norway's Got Talent, but is told she is too young and nut be seven. At six she enters sound booth for the first time and records four songs. Rolling In The Deep, Hurt, Skyfall, and most notably, I Who Have Nothing. Well worth reacting to. At six travels to the Middle East, where her legend begins. At seven she auditions for Norway's Got Talent, and wins the show after just turning eight.

The original song is not by Michael Bublé, he did a cover only. Feeling Good - Nina Simone (1965). "Feeling Good" (also known as "Feelin' Good") is a song written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the 1964 musical "The Roar Of The Greasepaint-The Smell Of The Crowd" and has since been recorded by many artists, including Muse, Sammy Davis Jr., Bobby Darin, Traffic, Michael Bublé, The Pussycat Dolls, George Michael, John Barrowman, John Coltrane, Toše Proeski, Frank Sinatra Jr., and Adam Lambert. Perhaps the most famous version was recorded by Nina Simone, and first appeared on her 1965 album "I Put A Spell On You". AJ did several covers of Nina Simone.

Written by English composers Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd. It was first performed on stage in 1964 by Cy Grant on the UK tour and by Gilbert Price in 1965 with the original Broadway cast. Michael Buble is therefore a cover.

Buble song? Well he covered it, too. Whitney Houston sang “I Will Always Love You”, but it’s a Dolly Parton song. Just helping you out…. I’m glad you liked Angelina’s version. As Angelina has grown she has covered many classics and made sound like entirely new songs. Sometimes, she keeps close to the original style, for example her cover of Adele’s “Easy on Me” is very much like Adele’s original. Her cover of the Elvis Presley song, “Suspicious Minds”, has been completely rearranged. Elvis’s version was a cover, too, by the way. Enjoy your journey into the Angelina rabbit hole!

It was first performed on stage in 1964 by Cy Grant on the UK tour.[1] Nina Simone recorded "Feeling Good" for her 1965 album I Put a Spell on You. The song has also been covered by Sammy Davis Jr., Traffic, Michael Bublé, John Coltrane, Brian Stokes Mitchell, George Michael, Victory, Eels, Joe Bonamassa, Eden, Muse, Black Cat Bones, Bassnectar, Sophie B. Thank you for your reaction. Best version of this song that I listened to. This is not Michael Buble's song neither Nina Simone's as many believe. FEELIN’ GOOD is a song from the 1964 English musical THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT-THE SMELL OF THE CROWD. It was written by Leslie Bricusse and Tony Newley and was originally performed on stage by CY GRANT kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i71kmahj3ZfMqJ8.html when touring in the UK and by then 23 years old GILBERT PRICE kzfaq.info/get/bejne/etCjaKerxq6vZ5c.html when touring in the USA in 1965. NINA SIMONE recorded her version of the song later in 1965. Michael Buble Recorded it in 2005. The song has been covered and performed countless times by many artists. Thank you for reading.

She went back to the old and brought it to the new, but it back new she transformed music to something special again, she starts saying the age of 18 months she plays several instruments.
